copper123

Yes ,a testoon there are very few around these days and few in good grade a pretty iconic coin really as the price tag shows. They tended not to get buried in hoards because they were debased silver , good silver drives out bad. Any that circulated circulated till they were like washers

Probably a large thick coin Marleybob is probably also large and pretty thick as well

MADE LAST WEEK IN CHINA

Marleybob just loves to be rencarnated, always under a different name . She could turn into a hindu it might help with the rencarnation , though it might not help her making up believable stories....

Aparently the missile used to shoot that balloon down in the USA cost £250,000 i am pretty sure the fighter jet hitting it in the middle would have been so much cheaper

She says that all the money is going to charity but then contradicts with 10% going to charity a pile of BS

Not worth £20 and thats with the box

Yes Blakey I have a picture of you with your understudy

There is an massive gulf between gvf and AU I wonder if these gradeing companies employ children and threaten them with a slipper if they dont do as they say

I would grade it as EF , while there is little wear it is noticeable and the obverse has slight problems as well . Was the graders name mutly (Always dreaming!)

There is no latin name for elizabeth so it was not changed

I notice instead of Carolus, Charles is known as charles on the new coins another really big break from tradition.

I would imagine "The london mint office" would even beat the royal mint at selling crap.Tristan decuna rubbish and all that

heres a nice example of a halfpenny

The 1844 dated coins were almost certainly specially minted to present as a alternative to the then circulating change , it would be fair to imagine the were given away to lobyists , MP's and various others including the mint ,Probably as many as fourty were issued for this purpose , though it could be a lot lower than that . Many have been lost and only less than twelve are known now

Yes peter stood out on here always up for a laugh he did have two lovely daughters and a dog who he was very fond of , I surpose his daughters own his collection now but who knows. He always had time for everyone on here and his advice to me is sorely missed at least by me . RIP peter

And peter as well not been heard from for ages just stopped posting ( 960 to £1 and still paying silly money ) 2019 for him such a long time

And will any contain eliz 11 coins

Well young folks these days would be far better off concentrateing on putting a roof over their heads than obtaining a coin collection , so I see their point

If its dated 1717 it has to be rare anyway

Great name for someone interested in coinage LOL

Unlike women!
