  1. Personally I love collecting coins so I would choose an area that interests me, research it, and start acquiring (while still looking for those elusive penny gaps!)
  2. True I'm afraid
  3. Yo Stuey, please pop in from time to time, you are missed
  4. Good price but I'd be grading nVF at best based on that pic alone ...
  5. Thanks Matt, well you wanted edge lettering, and now you have it, so that's good ... trouble is there are SO many varieties of these druids!! They seemed to have better milling technology than the RM at this time, pre-1816! I want a few more, will have a trawl again soon
  6. Those lots will have been unsold
  7. Bravo Pedro!
  8. Here are the CGS pics of your coin
  9. And you have it back? Still waiting on mine numbered 39472 onwards!
  10. Whatever happens next I hope Paul is still part of the setup, they have their place in the scheme of things in my reckoning I would not have got refunded on my dodgy Northumberland shilling if it wasn't for CGS, my first involvement with them
  11. Plus, is it authentic, what variety is it? (CGS are good at this), looking back £13,75 per coin was a bargain and I was pleased with the results, if not the customer service or time taken! Missing them already! Incidentally, if you have a UIN you want to look up, there is a way of still doing that
  12. Lot's of different reasons for using a TPG Pete, and I agree with what you are saying
  13. Ummm, and the sellers / dealers! I couldn't agree more, the decision to use a different scale and then to change it was a big mistake! I don't like the US term Mint State (MS) for coins below aUNC though
  14. The current comparison table has CGS 65 at GEF, I believe they changed things a few years ago
  15. What is the CGS UIN please Adam? @AdamCurtis
  16. Name in hat please Pete
  17. The 1919 is about as good as they get in my opinion
  18. GEF would be CGS 65 I believe
  19. Wow! GEF you say! That puts it at over £5 K according to Spink, what do CGS value it at? (Their site's 'closed' at the moment so you can't look it up, if you don't already know)
  20. 1951 is a harder year for pennies, but it is available in that proof set I mentioned and highly recommend you look in to
