  1. I meant they wouldn't appear ever...that's if the thief has anything about him.

That's been banned now, sellers aren't allowed to do it anymore. I had a mean streak last weekend and was reporting lots of listings who charged a fee.
  3. Wow what a haul. Do we think they were stolen to order? There's some fairly "hot" pieces there that couldn't really be sold on the open market now without raising suspicion. Is there any info on who they were stolen from? Edit: Posted on Colin Cooke's site - all other bases seem to be covered.
  4. We have a specific thread for loons like this. I don't think any of those are errors.

I do, yes. Contrary to what some people say, if there are good pictures and feedback is to your satisfaction, it is a wonderful tool. I bought the coin below last August from a Gibraltan dealer (or dealeress, she's a lady): Incidentally, those are the pictures she took.
  6. I've got the 4-Minute mile, NHS, Public Libraries, EU and thes Suffragettes ones - same as you
  7. Welcome, Alex! I'm sure you will enjoy the hobby.
  8. From Russia With Love if I recall
  9. I noticed you were high up yesterday when I was looking for the Krause World Gold Coin guide. Congratulations!

  12. It's one we all know and love, run by our very own Andy Bruce! Take a bow, Andy! *cheesy alert*
  13. I've been searching in vain for an Eimer or Fearon medal catalogue for months now - none has turned up!
  14. George II - 1 George III - 3 George IV - 2 William IV - 1 Victoria - 15 or so Edward VII - 5 George V - 2 Elizabeth II - 20 (change finds mostly) Total - 50 ish I also have some of the American State Quarters which I intend to collect all of, and then spend/sell them once complete.
  15. It's not really necessary to buy the new edition each year - much of the information remains the same. I tend to sell my old copy a few weeks before the release date of the next edition, and put the proceeds towards the new one.
  16. 1986 £1 - 10,409,501 1992 20p - 31,205,000 I don't have the 1995 penny figure.
  17. The Mint usually do a £5-for-£5 offer where you pay £5 and get a £5 in BU, but with no packaging etc.
  18. I kept getting that when I tried to come on today, but it seems to have stopped now. Perhaps the servers were being tinkered with.
  19. I wouldn't say surreal, my avatar is surreal . I'd say more...crusty. I think that's a goo word to describe it!
  20. Also got a few 1988 ones, I think I'll start hoarding them.
  21. No.
  22. Enamelling is usually done just on one side.
  23. I finally got my first 2004 £1 in change, it's taken long enough!
  24. We need to know the dates and conditions. Attaching pictures would kill two birds with one stone.
  25. I think I'd call numismatics pretty massive
