  1. Coincraft lists them as the same value, but that's a rather large book. I would omit them in a catalogue this size.
  2. Congratulations, it's a shame it had to be overshadowed by other events.
  3. They couldn't have timed it better. G8 is on, and the Olympic bid has just been successful. Even though it must have been months in the planning, the Olympics would have just been a bonus to them. My thoughts and sympathies go out to all those involved.
  4. Hopefully, Monsieur Chirac will slide in the opinion polls, be booted out of office at the next elections (thereby removing his presidential immunity), and be prosecuted for presiding over a system of illegal party financing whilst mayor of Paris. However, I digree. Congratulations to London!
  5. 3/4 of a century and still going strong. Congratulations!
  6. I didn't think it was that bad if homework was addressed early. If one left it to the day before (as I did on occasion), it was far more stressful. Time management, I found, is the key.
  7. It could be just bronze (or copper, whichever) and taken from an angle that appears to make it silver.
  8. Told you it kicked ass Sounds like you had a good day!
  9. Just a generic form like "Man's greatest invention is...." Edit: Oh, and "Ecce" means "Look".
  10. What do they shout (or whisper) if it's indeterminate? "Ecce - Homo!"
  11. I'm sure everyone spoke Latin in 1989. In fact, I recall the midwife exclaiming "Ecce - Vir!"
  12. Here we go. A dozen or so pieces all Charles 1st hammered, all cleaned and now retoned. One item is lot no. 8314352465 if the following link doesn't work. charles 1st 1/- And it begins...
  13. You're meant to read those green and red cards out verbatim so they can't really change it. I'll be glad when it's over though, I can't wait until the Sixth Form.
  14. I find that always happens, you've gotta either take a chance or revise it all really well!
  15. You just had one? We have THREE. The first is on the Treaty of Versailles, the League of Nations and the Cold War, the second is on Germany and America 1918-1945, and the final one which I'll be doing tomorrow is on Vietnam and "The changing role and status of women in the 20th century".
  16. Ooh you lucky thing. I've got my final History paper on Friday.
  17. Unless you're called Colin. (Sorry private in-joke, Oli will get it though) You Are So Mean ...
  18. Good show! I like that £2, with the searchlights crossing both metals - I think it's very effective. My Dad received a Harvey Nichols voucher from me.
  19. Wow he's got £0.55 with over a week to go. It encourages me to eBay all the Forth Bridge £1 coins I've accumulated.
  20. I admire you for doing this, I'd hate to be a student teacher.
  21. THANKS!
  22. Totally well deserved. You've done astonishingly well what with all the things you've had to deal with this year, and this result is testament both to your resilience and intelligence. Let's hope it leads to better things...what are your plans now?
  23. Ok rockinghorsepoo bought his on 6th June. Coincidence that he list a part-Maundy set with rainbow toning on the 11th? Personally I can't see the toning, but if it's there, well, make your own conclusions. Purchase History Maundy set Another part set
  24. It might be prudent to note the list of buyers of this item plus the other two "repair kits" currently offered by the same seller. There are some names on the list who frequently offer higher value and rarer pieces on ebay. The other lot numbers are 3978798869 and 3978801028. Sorry, don't know how to insert links. Footandankle and Rockinghorsepoo certainly ring a bell.
