  6. william 3rd but 1697......i think a 1st bust sixpence, spink3531.
  7. we had a maths master at school whos surname was bates. i had a girlfriend called theresa green.....same one? i did get expelled from school for 2 weeks for removing the "d" and "e" from the deputy head's door.
  8. brains faggots are still readily available in your local tescos http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/search/default.aspx?searchBox=faggots proper taffy boyo ones are better though...... mmmm jubblies.
  9. youve gone a whole week without even spending 50p?!!!! are you from yorkshire?
  10. heres a link to some of nigel farage's speeches "puppet govt installed in greece and italy" is just superb. all the phoneys must quake in their boots when they lock horns with a politician who is as good as this. makes the muppets in charge at the moment look very amateur.
  11. keep meaning to go the coin fair, just waiting on the visa to come through I think Colin, their scarce all over...... very true.......now join the queue
  12. id give nigel farage a chance at shaking things up......hes good self described as the most hated person in european parliment.....gets my vote
  13. he probably eats more frogs legs and belgian chocolate these days with his new euro chummies
  14. some of the very rare wow wow 50p's ive had this week in my change. 3 x girl guides ( 1 is superb ) 1 x suffragette 2 x wwf 1 x vc and another 9 olympics, 8 different sports..2 x handball. all extremely rare
  15. its gonna take more than a pie to get me to stop in or pass through the midlands, the virgins sound interesting though
  16. tax doesnt apply to cold pies..........carry around with you, youre own microwave.....ask this bloke greg if you can plug it in and heat up.......simples
  17. really means.....we couldnt sell em so we melted em all down i wouldnt part with my unc or ef d/florins, however ive emailed the mint and offered them my entire vf collection of d/florins for a oner each, pointing out that they are worth much less than this, no reply yet
  18. often hammered though
  19. let me explain for those not familier with betting odds...... liverpool are quoted as 10-1 to win the premiership this season....what this means is, if you bet £1 on liverpool............................................................................................................................................youve wasted a quid i may be wrong but this may be dito for lizzie le deux, ascended to the throne in 52 but got the hat in 53.
  20. im not surprised.....£3 for a 50p piece and a piece of card is a lot to pay, especially considering you can get em for 50p from change A lot of the non collectors at my works, have been keeping those from their change, the good thing is they are now showing an interest in older coins too.
  21. because they have been given to me as gifts and i like em... i doubt the collection i have would constitute a collection. anybody else want to give me an ounce of silver for free 50p olympic collection now sold due to tight wadded jock time waster.
  22. i think thats the connection for me too. i love the Edward V11 florins for their reverses. i wonder how much longer spink can carry on having a book with decimal and predecimal coins in it. At the rate the mint is going these days, the QE11 could run into several volumes alone.
  23. posties been with the latest recycled south american rainforest from the RM.....the rubbish just gets worse. mind you that 1kg gold coin would weigh your trussers down, theyre only minting 60 a cool £100,000 each. gonna be checking my change a little more often now... incidentally, i have a couple of £2 brittanias.....kinda like em, kind relatives have bought em for me as pressies and the like. so the 2012 £2 brittania is a very nice £57-50 from rm in what they claim is a new style display case, cardboard to you and me. bullion uk have the same coin for £25.....thats a lot of dosh for a cardboard box, and some think slabbing is dear
