  1. It surprises me they only gave it a 65. Lovely coin
  2. The shilling Paul is showing was one of mine. I Sent images of this to Baldwins as i was thinking of consigning it to one of their auctions and the guy there basically said "don't bother, its not good enough" his grade was GF/NVF I thought it was better than that, my pics of the coin is attached
  3. If you use an Image Hosting site you won't have to worry about size
  4. It really is rare in high grade Peter. £130 was a bit steep though, flipping it on eBay and I would suspect a loss, not a quick profit, but as long as you're happy with it that's the main point, we only have a subjective opinion, but you're the buyer at the end of the day.
  5. I also know of another in UNC owned by rashenly. How much of the 63 was cleaned? There's black inbetween the teeth, the legends and the sails of the boat.
  6. Maybe ask Pam Weat for advice, she is a banknote dealer
  7. £10, not quite up with modern coins though, in fact why buy it when they're plentiful in UNC, it's not a rare coin
  8. The 28 has wear on the REV, look at the nipples On the acorns, they're worn flat compared to the 1931
  9. Clive is just outside London, in Runnymede, or he says so on his website
  10. Try John Stephenson at argentumandcoins he's around the Newcastle area. I'll give him a nudge on Facebook
  11. Try an image hosting site such as photbucket and then paste the IMG url link into your post
  12. Your allowed 500kb per post, so if each is 495kb for example, just use 2 posts
  13. Gold will always bring bullion value as a minimum price. Around £200 ish for a full sovereign and half that for a half. P.s, 1902 would be Edward VII (7th)
  14. As part of reintrgration of the old East Germany, every citizen in Germany pays an extra tax towards the rebuilding of the East. I think i pay about 15 euros a month. Its time that stopped, how much Do they bloody need.
  15. OBV GVF REV VF for me
  16. Welcome to the forum. Reading is always good, that's the theory part, but having coins in your hand will give you better experience. My personal piece of advice is, don't buy less than EF these days, if VF is all you can afford then maybe try and save a little while longer, it will be worth it in the end. Most of all, have fun collecting, it can be a little cut throat out there these days. Read through the forum, you'll see many varied topics, hopefully these will help on the journey. There is also many many pictures on here of members coins, try and compare should a similar Coin take your imterest. If in doubt questions are Always free to ask.
  17. Most of the corporates who avoid tax in London also say they don't make money. As a 15% shareholder to which the company he has shares with have made profit and in turn he would gain from Said profit and would be liable for tax
  18. Some double standards by our Chancellor
  19. People with sufficient imcome I find have had sufficient money within a family for many generations, there is still a lot of "old money" swashing around here in Germany and by that I mean from WWII, especially here in Munich. I enjoy working for my money, or making my money work for me, until Germany takes its 45%
  20. Reading the manual micrometers are a dark art, using them without a small stand can also bring a variable reading and I guess this is why people go for the digital. Most engineering companies I've worked with use mitutoyo
  21. Harz 4 is for those unemployed longer than 9 months, you should check what the UK unemployed get, it's less than Harz 4
  22. That can be answered in a simple way... A human being with a full time job has to be in the position to afford a worthily life. A government has the task to introduce suitable conditions. That is not the case. My government for example does force people into dishonourable working conditions instead. That has to be changed, we have to take action and elect appropiate parties. I'm nor sure i follow that last paragraph Christoph, the forcing people into dishonourable working conditions? As i have been unemployed here in Germany previously i was given 9 months to find a job and be seen to actively seek employment in the chosen field in which i work, they also paid for me to learn basic German for 6 months.
  23. The SNP wanted NO austerity cuts, our English friends were scared and will now be shafted even more. Glad I'm not living in the UK right now.
