  1. I think you are going to find that it is just due to the terrible picture, its all fuzzy. The thread Chingford mentions is probably this one but it deals with William IIII pennies, in particular the 1834. 1834 Penny Missing Serifs I spotted the REX from a dealers gallery picture which wasn't enlarged, i've only enlarged here because it was only 22kb, so it's not my imagination. The 2 serifs at the bottom of the X have a curve going up towards the leg of the X, the E has something poking out from the vertical leg of the E and the R looks over an R. I know sometimes pictures can play tricks on you, but with 3 different letters, and only of the REX, why not the rest of them to? As i said, i spotted this from a 22kb dealers gallery picture.
  2. not to mention a quite hideous number of JPEG artefacts all over those pictures Az. My apologies Peck, best i could do with the dealers gallery pictures, plus i enlarged them for some of the older farts of the forum who might be losing their sight
  3. Will just have to wait until it arrives i suppose.
  4. Am surprised he sells anything with grading that bad, thats shocking !!!
  5. Apparently this is AU to BU, do i need spex? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1826-AU-BU-Great-Britain-Half-penny-George-D1509-/400132165288?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d29bc4ea8
  6. It will interesting to see a clearer image once you have it in hand, I have generally found GeoIV to have very few Errors/variaties. Missing bottom Serifs to the Ns of Britainniar, highlighted by another Forum member a few years ago, is the only GeoIV Penny Legend variety I can honestly recount. The X can be explained by the 2 bottom serifs perhaps being joined, but the E i'm not so sure about, definately something poking out of the middle, hence my thought of an inverted E, but as you said Chingford, in hand pix and we'll get a lot better view of whats going on.
  7. The date is in the legend in roman numerals lol 1858?
  8. Just picked this one up, an 1826 high grade Penny. Nice grade, but the REV looked odd, i've only got the gallery picture for now, but the REX in the legend looks like its all over something The R in REX looks like its over another R and the X has something going through the bottom of it, the E looks as the its inverted and there's something poking out of the downward leg, the wwhole REX looks wrong. Anyhoo, here's 2 gallery pix, 1 of both sides and a cut out of the REV, you may or may not see what i'm looking at.
  9. Its nothing to do with inverted axis tho, its the hair at the back of her neck and Is and Ts pointing to beads or not. I think he's bought it as an A6 from someone who's then told him that its rare and now he's selling it as such
  10. That's odd, my copy of Davies doesn't mention that. Mine says for obverse 5: "I of Vict to space. 8 beads between A's. Short serifs in I's". Attached is the obverse from an 1868 shilling, which can only be S.3906A. I think it shows that the advertised 1867 is not of the same type. Sorry Nick, its an I, i need bloody spex It looked like a T lol, anyway, the I of GRATIA still doesn't point to a bead for the A4 Type or for the A6 type
  11. Davies states Type A6 has the T of Gratia pointing to a bead, this clearly doesn't
  12. The A4 type doesn't have an inverted axis, if you look at his 3rd picture taken in the mirror his die axis is inverted
  13. Just wondering how you came to your conclusion if you have little knowledge and purely guessing, you've came up with a name already, how did you come by the name? Az, he said he has "a little knowledge" - there's a big difference between that and "little knowledge" Ah, must get some reading glasses lol
  14. Be even better if the Toon manage to sneak a point or 3 off them on Tuesday night! Keep dreaming John, lol, still remember Cantonas little chip at St James' and Keegans meltdown on Sky, great TV Not as much as I remember Schmeichel getting chipped when we gave them a 5-0 drubbing. Phillipe Albert if i remember rightly, was that the last time Newccie Broon won against UTD? A blast from the past good old Albert! We did win a 4-3 game when Keano lost his blob and got an early bath. He fell out with Shearer over something! Must admit, they were great to watch at the time, Tino Asprilla, Les Ferdinand etc, always goals involved, Keegean never knew how to defend lol Best form of defence Dave.... Attack, attack, attack attack attack! Those were the days, food was cheap, petrol too, you could leave your back door open all night (still got burgled but the weather was warmer then), girls wore short skirts and swore less than you..... aw man It always left the door open for others to score though, but you were garaunteed goals. Liverpool springs to mind, 2 epic games

  18. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180652284731&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm570%26_nkw%3D180652284731%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1 relisted it or what? Getting stranger by the day, oh wait, listing has ended.
  19. It is fishy, I agree. The fact they have exactly the same text, definitely implies some connection between the two. Precisely what that is, has yet to be determined. Weirdly, the only item "dsrasiah" currently has for sale, is that sovereign. Maybe, as John indicates, the account has been compromised in some way. The feedback shown indicates that he normally sells computer parts. Yep, very pleased with it as well. Nice item. Have you posted an in hand pic Mike?
  20. City are in uncharted territory now. As the last point on the graph of their season shows, anything can happen and nothing can be inferred for the next game. Also, they usually conform to type and play in sky blue which is a watered down version of Stockport, Oldham, Macclesfield,... appropriately. I bet the Citeeeee fans got a nose bleed going so far south, in fact i'm amazed they knew how to get to wembley its been that long
  21. Possibly cleaned? The OBV/REV pics, especially the OBV looks like its been polished?

  23. Which i already have had on ebay, hence the fact i'm pissed at RM and the reason i know this is that i started an invistigation that one of my sold coins went AWOL, anyway the German PO said it was'nt received, but thankfully the guy who i sent it to left me a FB for the item, or else i would have been liable. The PO is up the shitter without a paddle right now, i pay extra for signed for and they are'nt doing their freaking job!!!! Rant over
  24. Clamed yourself?! Sounds painful! Thats My iPhone spelling for me again
