  1. I mentioned rarity peck not Vaiety, Freeman doess list rarity Levels
  2. If you have a Gouby book it will tell you its rarity in there as will Michael Freemans book. For grade i'd say GVF
  3. http://beforeitsnews.com/paranormal/2014/08/road-workers-found-this-mysterious-box-underground-they-decided-to-look-inside-andphotos-2473712.html (null)
  4. Personally they do nothing for me and they seem extremely light in weight. Probably a wrong planchet but 2 wrong planchets is just yet another mystery. The Daily Mail link also seems excessive with the "freak coin" blurb. The £1000 thats been quoted is to my mind a ridiculous price for. Sorry to put a downer on your auction, its merely my opinion as a collector of coins/history and not errors that the mint seem to produce more and more frequently
  5. Otherwise as k the seller to send it as a letter and. to a Package or packet this way it will come straight through customs, i've had this several times from dealers in the USA and the German zoll let it go straight through the System. Only packets and such like are pulled here, letters are'nt. Wrapped between to pieces of coragated cardboard should protect the contents and save £20
  6. Import duty on everything outside the EU
  7. Large flan perhaps with excess material
  8. WRL is in the heading Rob
  9. Really?i've seen many at last years or the year before prices, but when its your own coin i guess you see what you want to. Big price increases come at the top end of the grade scale, and as has been pointed out, yours unfortumately is'nt up there. I'll stick though at my thoughts on price Maybe you can point out a smilar graded coin thats sold in the last few years so we can compare prices
  10. Hmmmmm i don't think its been hot in the UK for 18 months running because thats how long eBay has been shite for, for coin auction values. As stated above, £70
  11. Its strange why eBay has taken this Route recently
  12. It might be scarce but condition is everything. I'd say it might be a £70 coin, you should try eBay
  13. Errrrr no, yours is virtually a disc, but is .925 silver. The ebay one is overpriced as its on ebay. Take ebay coin prices with a pinch of salt. In order to get top $ for ANY coin they would have to be extremely high grade and the ebay one is'nt
  14. 1924 is 50% silver and therefor has silver content value in it, even if worn to a disc
  15. Tissue? I did see the sale about 3 weeks prior but assumed those who should have known about it knew about it
  16. For those with apple products or other such Technology, there is now am app for this which i spotted as an advert. http://betterbook.inkling.com/book/master-your-dslr-camera/?ref=tb-1-tablet (null)
  17. I must have tipped the scales then.
  18. I also emailed, so thats 4
  19. His reply just a few minutes ago Hi there, Of course it should not be such, that the information of the same coin is so widely different. I can only be honest with you and say that I'm relatively new to British coins and that I have learned that when selling to the British market it is better to be conservative with grading. I actually overvalued a lot of my hammered coins in the early stages of launching my website (jan 2014) which resulted in no sales and angry comments! I have tried to adjust this accordingly, but I can see that I have left the coins at MA-shops unchanged. As always when selling items in different places, there will be some regional differences and as the costs (seller fees) are sometimes widely different, pricing can be slightly different. But yes, I completely agree, the listings are way off when compared next to each other. I appreciate you passing on this feedback to me and I hope my answer to you is at least some explanation if yet still very unprofessional. Hopefully you will be understanding of newcomers to the field of British coinage and refrain from talking too negatively of me or my business in the numismatic community. I assure you that I'm an honest dealer with no intention of doing anyone over. Kind regards, Andreas The Coin Cabinet
  20. Well heobviously hinks that no one would recogbisethe same coin as (i'm assuming) he thinks no British buyers would use a German site. In his eBay blurb he's been around 20 years, but i've only just seen him in the last 2 months on the German site and as you say Peck he's relatively new on ebay. 2 grades and 2 prices, one of which is for what i assume is for the German numpties. His eBay coin has also offers on which is to my mind quite a smack in the mouth for buyers from the German site. He also has an Eddie III groat with 2 different grades, although minimal but the higher grade is again on the German site
  21. I just thought i'd make you all Aware of a robbing bar steward Here's their ebay link to a coin http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261544730194?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D261544730194%26_rdc%3D1 And here's the same coin again listed on the Muenzauktion website http://www.ma-shops.com/thecoincabinet/item.php5?id=14〈=en Check out the 2 differences in grade and price plus also read what they say about themselves in their ebay blurb. obviously a company not to be trusted and obviously to avoid in future, and just incase they decide to change the MA blurb after my email to them, here is their description there. Description England Shilling Grade: VF+ | Abbreviations Catalog: Spink 2794 Material: Silver Weight: 5.74 g Diameter: 31.00 mm ENGLAND. Charles I, 1625-49. Shilling (1638-9). 22. Sorry to say, but who buys a coin (or rarity) without seeing a picture, crazy, and then the disc arrives and is'nt what its supposed to be, surprise surprise.
