  1. Yep, thanks...I will probably add more images and better descriptions on Wednesday (my halfday) or Sunday (if I have time)
  2. Geoff is a Halfcrown and token collector I believe
  3. Is that anything farthing wise, or just plain anything? I ask tis because I would also like to set up a few more photo pages to cover all copper coins
  4. Ok, I have now added a Pictorial Farthing Tribute Page (here). It is a bit basic at the moment as I have only added two coins. Chris, could I use the image of your 1836 farthing (here)?
  5. Sure When I have some more time I will be adding a Photo Page with links to my omnicoin collection. I shall also add more information, such as a 'known farthing types' page (hopefully with images if I can obtain them with permission ).
  6. Why don't you write it in word, do a spell check and then paste it into here! Or, ask another question on the Invision forum. My Word is stuck on using the French (France) spell checker, and it refuses to switch to any form of language other than French ... I have asked here
  7. I take it that your Admin CP is the same layout as the Invisionfree Admin CP? If so I have asked for a code to do this on the Invisionfree coding support forums (Here)
  8. Its not really counterfeits that I am on about, I like it when I receive a counterfeit £1 in my change as I know how to tell it apart from a real one. I am talking about the 1933 pennies, 1945 silver threepences and such that are commonplace on eBay. I am meeley saying that I would not buy a reproduction Edward VIII farthing if I needed one for my collection. I would be quite happy admiring the gap in my collection. @Mintmark - If someone offered to give me a reproduction coin of any type for free then I would accept it. But I would not want to merge that reproduction in with the rest of my collection. @Berg - Sorry about the spelling mistake. @Chris - Maybe a spell checker would be a nice option on the forum Edit: Typo
  9. bah...fake 'copy' coins are just for desperate collectors... No offence to anyone though, but that is my thoughts on coppies...
  10. Looking at the member list, I notice that not many of us have AOL or ICQ...would it be better to replace these with MSN and YIM as that is what most of us have?
  11. I am collecting all of them...the different years, variants and types (with the exeption of Charles II patterns)...
  12. I have never recieved any £5's in my change ...you are lucky Oli
  13. Quarter of a predecimal Penny..demonitised in 1956, withdrawn from circulation in 1961 (last day of 1960)
  14. Not yet Chris...unless you haven't posted off my previous order yet?
  15. Not that I have any of theese yet, but what would be the best way to store Harrington, Lennox and Rose Farthings of James I and Charles I?
  16. Welcome Berg, as Chris said, its about time some foreigners joined ... I hope you find the forum and predecimal.com an interesting resource to coin collecting and collecting accessories. Well, I'm Master Jmd, and I collect farthings 1613-1956 (as my signature suggests).
  17. No wonder, the seller only has 37 feedback rating...
  18. From the second picture, the edge inscription looks ok though...but yes, the other points are convinsing.
  19. Very nice, especially that 1668 His Halfe Peny. One small typo I noticed: in the description of the 1668 His Halfe Peny it says Pursell/Pursell, you need to replace an 's' with a 'c'
  20. I have asked on coinpeople now
  21. I'm not really after a value, but more of its history and other information about it.
  22. Lucky you, having a 6 week holiday! It would be nice, in my opinion, if we Brits had something like that; pennies from SE, S, SW, M, N, NE and NW...
  23. Ok, I know this is a coin forum, but I think that someone on here will know a thing or two about banknotes. Question: Can anyone tell me what this actually is and other information about this note? Side 1 Side 2 Date Close-up Side 1 reads: DE NEDERLANDS BANK, below that is Betaalt Aan Toonder VIJF EN TWINTIG GULDEN, with a 25G below that (25 Gulden?). Bottom has the signature of what looks like 'Rahunty'(?) with Director below that, and beside it is signed ? President. The letters DNB are to the left of the note (presumably De Nederlands Bank(?)). Side 2 reads: 1AD with the serial number of 096678 and dated Amsterdam 7 Oct. 1943. The note is very delicate, and I do not want to try and unfold the creased edges as the note may tare. The only history that I know behind it is that my Grandad picked it up from a tea shop/café in Holland or Belgium.
  24. I have been waiting for the chance to post that one after seeing his signature on coinpeople a while ago
