  1. Happy Birthday sylvester...sorry that i am a day late though
  2. Okay, I did a bit more of the Farthing price listing for CCEM, and I need the prices for 1675/2 and 5/3 in all conditions, as I do not have a guide that lists these, nor can I find the prices for them online. Thanks in advance.
  3. I generally do that. I find that I can consentrate better in the morning as there is usually no one else online (on msn) to distract me, and I am not waiting for other people to come online to talk to myself. Our school is rubbish at time management. Last week, my english group was set a 1500 word essay on tuesday to be completed for wednesday!
  4. Happy Birthday Chris, (sorry its late). I hope you had fun
  5. I think that I will have to skip it this time. As I am now (unofficially) year 11, I should start focusing more on schooling. And I still have to finish those early-milled farthings and halfpennies (I will be able to complete these). Sorry Chris
  6. woo! lol...well, well done, and hope you have a good future to come out from it
  7. May I ask why? ...sorry, I have been away from coins for a while, soon to be back
  8. I will have to miss this too, sorry. Reason 1: I will not have enough money by then. Reason 2: I may be going whenever the next one after that is.
  9. Size, in my opinion, is probably the only thing which lets the farthing down. But, I think that the size of the farthing gives it its adorability. George IV and William IV half crowns are very nice indeed, I may be tempted to do a set of these myself one day...
  10. As a whole, yes, farthings
  11. That is a very good question. Hmm... I would say the Vicky Farthing, but I am not entierly sure why I like them. They do look very nice in BUFL condition. But if they were a little cheaper, I would say the Mary Fine Sovereign as they look wonderful.
  12. That is a very nice portrait indeed. All this talk of hammered coins is giving me the urge to buy one....hmm...maybe a sideline of Edward III hammered farthings would do nicely amoungst my milled ones!
  13. Sorry about what I said about Gypsies, I was angry because firstly my mum told me that a friend from her workplace had driven past the aftermath of the accient and enquired into what had happened, and then when I logged into MSN a friend asked me if I had heard anything about a crash of quite similar description if not the same crash in the same area that had killed two of her Cousin's friends - of which she knew and was quite upset by. I am not sure about the press though. I haven't read through any newspapers recently and I do not think it has been on the bbc news for my area. - Maybe its a matter that the police want kept quiet about until after the elections? ...sorry if I offended anyone.
  14. The other day (not sure when), a car hit another car, knocking the other car's mirrors off, whilst pulling into a petrol station. In the car that was responcible for the accident were four teenagers - three males and one female. Inside the car that was hit were two mid-30's Gypsies. Car 1 (the car with the teenagers inside) sped off so as not to start confrontation. Car 2 (the car with the gypsies inside) followed them and kept ramming the car. Car 1 rolled over, killing the two male teenagers instantly and putting the female into a coma. The third male was still consious and shocked. He managed to get out of the toppled car. The two gypsie men got out of their car and beat him to death before getting back into their car and speeding off. A witness of the crime called the police and ambulance services to see what had just happened. The female, who was in a coma, died shortly after she had been put in the ambulance. Four teenagers were killed by gypsies for just accidently knocking the mirror of a car. My deepest condolences to the parents and family of the teenagers.
  15. Going by the size of the gaming token, and if it is a british coin, I think that the other coin is a farthing.
  16. Um...well...here goes: (sorry Chris for 'advertising') Predecimal (this site) Colin Cooke Coins Michael Coins Online Coins Ebay.co.uk Spink ...there are others, but these, in my opinion, are the best ones.
  17. All coinpeople members should have recieved this email yesterday: "Greetings CoinPeople.com Member, A technical problem causing some users not to be able to log into or navigate the site properly has been discovered and resolved. This issue mostly affects AOL and some other large ISP's that use proxy servers. If you have had problems navigating the site recently, please try again now and see if the issue has been resolved. If you are still experiencing problems, please email me or post in our Technical Support Forums and we will look into the problem. Thank you, CoinPeople.com" ...so, it looks as though the problem has been sorted out
  18. Our school is running a 'mock election' as many schools do each time an election occurs, out of our year, only two people want labour to win, and it is infact the lib dems with the majority in our school. I think that the labour and conservative parties will have quite a shock in four or five years time. In 1997, Labour won the election due to the many students that they had won over. I am not sure, however, if 'won over' is the correct terminology as I think that many students (especially the sixth-formers in our school) only wanted to change from Conservative because they have never really experienced a non-conservative government. And I believe that, maybe not this election, but quite cirtainly next election, many people will be 'bored' of the labour government and vote otherwise. Well I hope that we can "wipe the smile of Blair's face" this election, but I doubt it - opinion polls arn't exactly helping conservatives or lib dems. Only three days to go now...
  19. September is fine for me as I will be able to get the rest of the prices done and dusted during the summer holidays. And yes, I am doing the coppers.
  20. I take it from this that there is no real rush to get piced finished for next month or something then? Because due to coursework (mainly ICT) I have had no time to get everything finished (still need to do most William III to George II stuff)...? Also, who can I ask for bmc. numbers? Chris?
  21. It is good to see that Rotographic Publishing is put to a use other than collectables. The book sounds mysterious...
  22. I know for sure that in 2001 (when I started at SGS), our school did not have bromcoms and used the /\/\/\/\/\/\ format. Now all teachers have a bromcom register, but they still do have the book registers incase the bromcoms do not work properly (which, sorry chris, they don't always!). We also have interactive whiteboards (or at least did, until some darn twonks went and stole most of them from nearly all the schools in the area).
