  1. First of all, it is a coin from the reign of George V, however, I will need a bit more information, eg. size, which denomination it is (what the coin sayd on the front eg. half penny, penny, half crown, farthing etc....), and grade (condition).
  2. I was not aware that there was so many varieties for modern coinage. Are there and varieties for decimal coinage apart from the obvious design changes?
  3. Im a tea man myself milk and two sugars, but I will have coffee is tea is not avaliable.
  4. Oldest- 1901 half penny. Newest- 1932 half penny.
  5. I didn't think that anyone would pay over 25p (their face value) for them.
  6. You mean people are actually BUYING churchill crowns!
  7. That seller was selling loads of nice pennies. Your new addition looks lovely!
  8. Gold. When I went onto ebay.com, I found this seller who is selling the most wonderful collection of gold I have ever seen:
  9. Ok, here goes: 1. 1903 BU half penny. 2. 1909 BU half Penny. 3. 1910 BU half penny. 4. 1901 BU half penny. 5. 1932 BU half penny. 6. 1932 BU half penny. They are my only really special coins at the moment because I am building up a specialist half penny collection. My faviorite's are the gleaming Edward VII ones which are quite hard to get in BU. I will hopefully add some more half pennys to my growing collection at the London Coin fair.
  10. Would this debt be due to a coin perhaps?
  11. To sum it all up: 1. It is an outstanding coin. 2. You have the ability to buy it if you want. 3. You may never be able to acquire a better specimin. 4. It may not 'fit in' to your present collection. 5. IT IS YOUR CHOICE AND YOURS ALONE.
  12. It is up to him at the end of the day but I would buy coins which fit in with my present collection. Don't sprint before you can run.
  13. You should only buy coins which will able you to sustain a collection, if you buy expensive coins then you will only get one or two coins a year.
  14. I didn't know that, that is the first time I have seen his name on a note.
  15. Has anyone noticed that the Chief Cashier has been changed from Merlyn Lowther to Andrew Baily? I have a £10 note with his name as the chief cashier.
  16. That is a wierd grade.
  17. It would be a very expensive boost, you would have to buy more high grade coins to make that coin 'fit it' with the collection.
  18. Now that I look at it, fine is a little bit ambitious.
  19. yes, but it is exeptional, i fell in love with it the day i saw it... Also, it will be a very desirable coin to own for any collector.
  20. I have seen that, it is a lovely coin.
  21. It was Master JMD's "loss" wasn't it - or am I missing something here? Anyhoo ¡feliz cumpleaños! True, Master JMD did have a loss, however, I lost when I was outbid on an UNC 1902LT half penny.
  22. Firstly I think the coin is definately genuine. It is in 'Fine' condition and I would advise you not to pay any more than £50 for it. It is a very nice coin and if you decide to bid, the best of luck to you!
  23. I hope you get one as well HPJ. Are you really still in mourning from loosing that bid. Happy Birthday for tommorow by the way John I think I have just about got over that terrible loss. However, there will be other opportunities to acquire that rare coin. Thanks quys for the Happy b'day.
