  1. I only have one edition, the 2002 one which was sold to me by a dealer when I purchased a coin. I like the detail it goes into about certain varieties for both decimal and predecimal.
  2. My french teacher gave me a sheet which shows all of the letters with accents as well as other difficult letters. ç, é, è!
  3. I should imagine that they are circulated like every other coin.
  4. They must be very sad to throw away money to Ebay and to do that when there is no point in doing it.
  5. Its a shame that the fair cannot be accesable for everyone, it does howvever happen several times a year.
  6. Either that or he has seriously misjudged the british coin prices!
  7. I am mainly looking for half pennys to fill my date gaps, I think there should be a nice selection of high grade ones there. I will try to be there for 8.30 or about that because I want to be the first person in line!
  8. I've just booked flights, I'll be there on the other side of the tables, sharing one with my mate Richard. Last time I did very well, and it is huge, so it would be silly not to do it again. I shall see you there then Chris! P.S: What is the best time for collectors to arrive there to get the best stuff?
  9. Excellent deleting of that SPAM, they broke the first rule of the forum: THOU SHALT NOT SPAM!
  10. Are there usually a large selection of coins there in high grade?
  11. Are you ever going to use your great powers Sylvester? (500th post)
  12. Also, get wooden florring, its funny to watch your cat (if you have one) run in and slide about everywhere!
  13. Excellent, I must admit, the pictures looked a bit wierd, must have been the lighting conditions.
  14. In my room, I have a shoebox filled with foreign coins, mostly european.
  15. Thanks for the help everyone, it would probably fetch a small fortune if it came onto the open market today!
  16. Pictures can be decieving.
  17. When was the last time that one came onto the open market, do you know?
  18. Hi everyone, Could anyone tell me how many 1933 pennys there are of the 'normal' type and how many 'patterns' by Lavrillier there are? Also, how much would they fetch on the open market today (have an educated estimate)? Half Penny Jon.
  19. Ah yes, maybe they were doing trials for patterns?
  20. It sounds very interesting, trial pieces are hard to come by sometimes. It sounds right that it is a trial piece because it was tested in 1969.
  21. I have never seen a trial peice for decimal coinage but the coin which you describe does indeed sound like a trial piece. Trial pieces are coins struck by the mint for testing purposes before they started to mint the new coins. Chris, can you add anything?
  22. My dad said that I can go! Also, could anyone please tell me (from their past experiances) what is the most adequate time to arrive there bearing in mind the opening time is 9.30 am?
