  2. He could be but I would call the person who did extensive testing and research to authenticate the coin a true 1952 half crown expert!
  3. I think people are dissapointed because they always think that every coin is worth a large amount.

  6. I know, I was only joking. I know that to become an expert in one's field one must study their field for decades.
  7. Exactly. We should all take expert names such as 20th century farthing expert, 20th century half penny expert etc......
  8. Yes, as far as I can see it is real. Most silver coins of that aga do 'tone' or get dirty. I would grade it GF/AVF.

  10. Yes, as far as I know there are proofs for most years however they are all extremley rare.
  11. Sounds very interesting, do you know if there are any other recorded examples of your mule? I saw an incredable mule sovereign on Ebay.com in BU. It was the observe of 1826 and a reverse of 1823, it was STUNNING.

  16. You will not believe this but I have just found one in my bedroom out of 17 1992 ten pences. I will put it to one side until I am old and grey!

  20. That is a 1916 Penny in 'Fine' condition and is worth no more than £1. However, the coin is in very good condition for it's age considering it would have been in circulation until 1971.
  21. Ok. Ploggy, could you please tell me which date it is and if it is shiny or not?
