  1. I have seen quite a few early pennies in BU on ebay.com, unfortunately they have been all slabbed and graded.
  2. I know that, they are so hard to come by. I will ask my Dad if he will buy me one when I see one and put it away for Christmas.
  3. I would love a copy of Peck (second edition) but I cannot stretch that far financially yet because I still have the London Coin Fair to go to on Saturday. Maybe I can get one for Christmas.

  7. I think that there will be a light stain on the coin which shows up as the marks on the photo. It is a really nice coin though, it is well worth buying.
  8. While we are on the subject.........Did they record mintage figures for 1902LT and 1925ME/OH half pennies Chris?

  11. My faviorite films would be: 1. Zulu. 2. Zulu dawn. 3. Master and Commander. 4. The great Escape. 5. The League of extraordinary gentlemen. As you have probably guessed I like action films especially when it involves the Britosh kicking the a*se of the Zulu's!

  15. Hi everyone, Could anyone please tell me why George V half pennies almost always have a soft strike? I have not seen one where all detail is sharp. Hlaf Penny Jon.
  16. Master JMD, The whole point of numismatics is to enjoy coins and to enjoy your collection, so if you think that that coin will make you happy, then you should buy it!

  19. Then the coin is worht £300 according to Spink.
  20. They had to recall the first batch because it had too much of a certain mineral which made it unfit for human consumption. I cannot remember what the mineral was though.
  21. Hi everyone, Could anyone please tell me how to tell the difference between high and low tides in 1897 penny's. I saw this one below which Spink says is the rare 'high tide' one but I am not so sure. My Webpage

  23. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before thank God! Btw, I recieved my three half pennies today. They are all sparkling gems especially the 1924 one which has the most brilliant lustre I have ever seen!
  24. We have to filter water because we live in an area where there is large deposits in the water even after filtering by water companies.
  25. I can't see it either, maybe it's the fact that I am using a really old computer at the moment.
