  1. I'm a mac user, so I've never needed this product, but I think it might be time to buy Norton Antivirus.
  2. Borrow the DVD and find out.....:)
  3. So they weren't in the same race then?
  4. Bill Bruford IS worth paying for. Seen him loads of times. Brilliant. Genesis now, for silly money........no.
  5. So, there were two horses, yeah, called 'Eleven' and 'Twenty-two'...am I getting this right?
  6. I give up- what's the answer?
  7. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114136989883?ul_noapp=true
  8. Oh the quality!!! 10/10 to all involved.....
  9. I went into record shop today, and I asked the guy " Do you have anything by the Doors?" He said "Yes, a fire extinguisher and a bucket of sand."
  10. I've seriously taken up boxing competition as part of my fitness regime. I had to go for a Medical as part of the insurance, and the doctor told me I'd got Sugar Diabetes, and I told him that in the form I was in, I'd win by a knock out.......
  11. Tragic accident at the Nestlé factory- a pallet of chocolate fell and crushed a bloke in the warehouse. Every time the poor guy tried to get some help by shouting "The Milky Bars are on me", everyone just cheered.....
  12. I was in a cafe and asked "Can I get a ham sandwich?" There was quite a negative reaction to this, so i said " May I have a ham sandwich?". Still uproar. I can't believe that the people in that cafe were so incensed about what I said. It doesn't matter- I'm not planning to go back to Karachi anyway....
  13. Top 'First Step' advice there, Peck!!!! It's a must. I dip into it surprisingly often.
  14. Oh the mind reading on this forum is getting too good. No cash right now-to many big projects halfway through.....!
  15. I've just read this thread, and am now going to have quiet lie down.
  16. Oh and Danelaw, in the original pic you put up, is the design below his chin a representation of the folds of a cloak with a gathering pin?
  17. ...and what would Aethelric think if he knew we would be talking about him a millennium on....?
  18. I found this thread on a minerals site, and it stuck me how similar it is to threads on this one!! Maybe some of what these mineral collectors say is relevant to us? If nothing else it's very interesting.... https://www.mindat.org/mesg-115692.html
  19. Isn't it odd that we all listen to the 'ring', yet silver's not a bell metal... I slide them down a magnet.
  20. Oh wow. Even my wife, who is not a coin nut, was so impressed and amazed at this short thread. 1000 years in mud ( the coins, not my wife ) and you pick them up, and they look amazing, Nice one Danelaw!!!
  21. All friends who used, five years ago, to try to browbeat me into joining Facebook no longer do ......! Parties and functions that I don't hear about because it was only announced on Facebook are not a problem- when I'm invited face to face, by email, or with a phonecall, I know that someone wants _me_ to be there, rather than just a crowd of acolytes. Facebook is, most of the time, a circle of people, patting each other on the back, chanting "Aren't we wonderful"....
  22. Hmm.. I would have thought that if you left the coin in a city, it would change it's surface far faster than if it was out in the country somewhere. Any switches in the equipment that I restore that have silver contacts show this clearly.....
  23. Edward VIII was often called 'Mono Face'...
  24. This is absolutely fascinating.
