  7. Hi all, i got as far as Edward III half groat London, any further id would be welcome, many thanks
  8. hi newheart, storage, thats a big discussion, depends what you're collecting, but what you linked is ok for circulating coins, you might be better using a company like http://www.duncannon.co.uk/ for lighthouse stuff, but people will be able to point you the right way, proof coins would be better kept in coin capsules, a slabbed coin has been graded by a 3rd party company and them sonically sealed into a tamper proof coin capsule, or whats called a slab, https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/2000s/141155/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=ngc+coin
  9. and thats not possible either http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-1-POUND-COIN-BLANK-EDGE-MINT-ERROR-/302446943785?hash=item466b3e1e29:g:hsYAAOSwAVNZecZz

  12. looks ok to me from here, is that a rare year or summit, why make a coin look that good for such a low value, are they contemporary forgeries ?
  13. have you owned it since new, some of my proofs from the mint have toned nasty
  14. they were available in the annual sets, which i get, nice to see a normal coin get some rare treatment, thats what real collecting is about
  15. what tells you its a copy, along with the crown
  16. notice that coin has some red/blue toning, where would these coins have come from, obviously not the groud for that one, amazing how they travel down the years
  17. that took a hit from its last sale, trouble with niche coins i spose
  18. its never ending now, we have another royal birth crown and silver proof thingy to look forward too now, they've dragged the arse out of beatrix potter, the new britannia design is utter rubbish, the shield design for the definitives is utter tosh as well,
  19. obviously a detector find, and been straightened
  20. the picture thing is bloody annoying
  21. they are now up on the royal mint site lol, 2 hours after being on the other site, think we can safely say these guys and other people have special access to these coins and others,
  22. so this company is taking reservations, the coin has not even been advertised out yet on the mint site, this company says they are official distributors on there advert on facebook, middle right of picture , hows that work then ? http://www.coinportfoliomanagement.com/landing-pages/isaac-newton-silver-proof.aspx?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=uk+2017+isaac+newton+silver+proof+50p&utm_term=coin+interests&utm_content=static&prodsn=1
  23. looks to good to be a fake in my opinion, but it must be
  24. thats a shame, nice to meet you anyway ;0)
