  1. I sold a 1937 set without the crown or case, 2 days ago for £110.00 If the case was not nice, £120 was probably not really a bargain. The spink price is really for absolutely perfect coins and case, strictly speaking, with no toning...Although that's near enough impossible because the inside of the case tones the coins.
  2. They are there, if you're willing to take a chance. Without any risk at all, I have literally hundreds of little bargains on this website
  3. I think Coin News goes out to over 10,000 worldwide. I wouldn't bother advertising in it if it was just 1000!
  4. I sometimes do, but when someone wants a particular coin and is willing to pay a fair price I usually end up selling! I do have a few things put aside, but they never stay there for long!
  5. Punk (perhaps '85 was a bit late, but there you go)
  6. You can have one for £12 + £5.00 postage, so £17.00 total. I can't go much lower on those without making a loss! You will not be dissapointed though, they really are great quality, and I'm not just saying that. Kuhli: What about this 1853 Half penny to go with your Penny: http://www.predecimal.com/forsale/halfpenny1853b.jpg Proof Half Penny, well it only says £150 in Spink.
  7. Hmmmm, has a way to go yet.
  8. The initials under the bust tell me that it is definitely modern, Donald R Golder did that one in probably about 1999 I believe, re modelled for a special African coin to commemorate 100 years of the British monarchy, that never was. Don't touch it with a barge pole, and the seller is either a fool, or lying. Isn't it potentially dangerous with all these patterns around, when they fall into foolish hands....And it already has a bid. Knowledge is power.
  9. No, I haven't been pruning any posts. I don't know why it would lie to you like that, these things are often just temporary glitches, is it still doing it?
  10. Is he still alive? I saw him on German MTV in an interview recently, didn't know he had his own show? What kind of show is it?
  11. All looks American to me, and I wonder what position UKGeezer has in the company? UK marketing department perhaps!
  12. God dang right I am! But seriously, I wasn't sure what it was.
  13. Is a fender the bumper?
  14. With a penny as nice as that? Oooo, shame.
  15. No, in 1988 it was definately copper I think, I'm talking very recently they changed to silver, 1993 onwards or something.
  16. Well if we don't see her, I'll start a petition and collect all your comments to forward them to her.
  17. Well I hope they stay fine in the long term.
  18. Keeps you coming back doesn't it!
  19. Nuts (but where did squirrel come from?) Now careful with nuts, we musn't forget our new rules
  20. Paypal, credit card, green backs, money order in US$...Whatever. I have a London account in US$ you know
  21. Nope, worse than that, I was very rude in an email to her, and haven't heard anything since Erm, she's either ill, my email doesn't work, or she's not talking to me....I hope she's ill (in the nicest possible way)
  22. Well I detected a little irony there, did you, fellow forumees? Talking of fellows, where are all the ladies around here (apart from Eliza of course) She's the only one. When I saw Penny Master I got excited, but realise now Penny Master is male (Sorry Penny Master), or of course she would be 'Penny Mistress', surely.
  23. I'm damn sure it's gold/silver these days. Refer to the Britannia's on p484 of Spink 2004.
