Another replica penny on Ebay - I've messaged the seller but he hasn't taken it down. I hope no-one falls for it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/287481861974?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e111028.m43.l1123&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=ee1821cbf0274276908e6d80f2933171&bu=43154646029&osub=-1~1&crd=20260724145657&segname=111028

I think the coin is 9+K for the following reasons, can you let me know what you think please? Obverse: Its not obverse 7 because the first set of leaves are not nearly touching the colon after DG - Looks to have 16 leaves. - 1st set of leaves are arranged different to Obverse 8 which are more spread out. - The ribbon shows some crimping. - The nape hair seems to match up. Reverse: The lighthouse resembles most the lighthouse shown on reverse K and the date numerals are widely spaced and low in the exergue. Could you please let me know what die pairing you think the coin is. Thanks

It's expensive to ship in- you pay exide duty on it. See what I did there? -
It certainly IS (both) !

I see a similar example on Secret Santa's website where the 5 looks to be doubled. Seems like there are infinite variations.
-
-
To me this looks like a short tailed 9 over a long tailed 9......in addition to a doubled 4 and a doubled 5. Groom's book mentions the 9 & 4 variations but I see nothing about a doubled 5.

So the A4 blue binder first edition (1860-1970) is not scarce or collectable?

🤔 yeah I get it..I have a 1930's Nickle 5 Cents the native (Liberty) Indian, it was in a poor way, I polished down the other side until blank, I'm having "Non Mortuus Tamen" added. its going to be a zip pull tag inside my Bike Jacket.🤘🏻 👊🏻 -
I suppose because you could and had nothing better to do? Similar to altering 1938 to resemble 1933, etc.

for me...Begs the question....Why would you attempt this? -
No he didn’t Specialist edition is just 1860-1901. The Binder for sale The British Bronze Penny, you can ask what you want but £40-£50 ish and Richard Bee wanted one recently I think in here.
