Paulus Posted May 14, 2014 Author Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) What's the plan with this lot, Paulus, eBay?I have a couple of contacts that like to buy high grade CGS from me (at around CGS valuation), the rest on the Bay. My eBay CGS sales to date (although it's impossible to be conclusive) have consistently yielded (much) better results than my raw coin sales - I will summarise the results for those interested! pies Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 We'll apart from coin five. I'm quite happy with my grades as I'm not too far off The 1821 should still sell well on the bay Quote

(Oops...)My initial thoughts were...........Coin 5 is EF, digs on the OBV, Leaf veins worn, REV left hand thistle has wear along with part of the crown, could be GVF at this rate (sorry) you know how harsh they areSo you know what to do with your "i told you so" as i was also correct, i was being evasive as they were going to CGS Edited May 18, 2014 by azda Quote

coinkat Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Interesting grades- While the 1902 Half Crown has a compelling strike, the image takes away from the natural look that a Matte Proof should have. The 1906 shilling looks MS- The 1821 shilling has some issues that were pointed out- seems a review in hand might explain the rejectionThe 6d that graded 60 (CGS-UK) seems reasonable Quote
