No, I think you are reading too much into it. I've never heard of anyone complain they were deemed unacceptable. Business doesn't work like that. You may not like a particular customer as a person, but their money is the same as anyone else's, no better, no worse. I'm sure they would be more than happy to take £1500 from you.

I only put the amount in as a basis, i don't know if I'll bid on anything or not. Probably am reading to much into it, but after seeing the grade hike on this coin and the grade they offered on my James I plume shilling, it's now really stuck in my throat at their double standards

You will be pleased to know that I also had to enter my projected spend when registering for the Baldwin sale this afternoon. I entered a quid, and was immediately authorised to bid. Baldwins aren't going to turn potential bidders away unless they have been a problem in the past.

It also crossed my mind that this could be the Saleroom fishing for details. The more you enter as a projected spend, the more valuable you are to auction houses as a potential bidder, so I wouldn't be surprised if lists of named large spenders are sold to Saleroom customers to target marketing.

Just to deviate from the subject a little I went to Aston Hall in Aston. Birmingham after the coin fair in birmingham last month and the seal knot were doing a civil war demo (as the roundheads) it really was very good and free as well. I hope next year it is repeated
