Sun and Mail hacked

I've been watching this live as hackers have got into these web sites.

They put up a spoof that Murdoch was dead,redirected hits to their twitter page and have been generally running riot.

It makes me wonder where all this hacking and snooping will end up.

What they obviously mean by "dead" is, is that Murdoch himself is no longer in control. Just tried to log into the sun online and its down

It wouldn't bother me if they closed them all down.

I take my news from the BBC website or TV as it seems to be the closest thing you can get to unbiased reporting. As for the SUN..... do you really care if Jordan flashed her knickers whilst getting into a car, or if Simon Cowell was nice to an old lady in Harrods???

Couldn't agree more.

My news supplier of choice is the FT which I have read for the past 30 years. A good mixture of left and right leaning journalists resulting in opinions from both sides of the political divide which is unavailable to readers of the tabloids or the majority of broadsheets who have (unwisely IMO) nailed their colours to a particular political mast. By contrast, the FT will happily criticise or support both left and right in the same issue, so not such a good paper for sheep.
