At least that's what I claim, until someone contradicts me I have been trying to identify this intreguing little scyphate coin for a couple of years but all leads have proved unsatisfactory. Using it as an avatar is a way of keeping it "in your face" in the hopes that someone PM's me with all the 'gen' Hmm. I have just found a photo of a contemporary counterfeit Kilkenny Halfpenny from the time of Charles I. Now I don't know if the dimensions etc match but to me it has a slight resemblance to something I've seen before. What do you think? Quote
Geordie582 Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 (edited) Some vague resemblence but the armour on mine seems to place it at a different time (unless like the Georges they liked to depict themselves in period clothing!)
