Hi,

I have been battling with myself for years over this about what is my favourite British coin currently in circulation.

Its a battle between:

1. 50 pence coin (sacred coin!)

2. £1 coin (so thick and hard, you can always feel it in your pocket)

3. £2 coin (nice and bimetalic)

No contest.

Best by far is the £2 coin, or at least it is when it's not a commem.

Second best is the 50p, that Britannia design is well thought out,

Third would be the 20p.

Fourth the 2p.

Fifth the penny,

Sixth £1 coin. They don't half wear bad for my liking.

Last we have that ridiculous, evil 5p.

My fave is the £2 - reminds me of some kind of weird multicoloured florin!!

I love the £2; I thought they had got rid of the florin sized coin when the 10p was re-sized.

Also like the 50p and 20p; they are easy to distinguish.

Hate the £1 coin; it is too easy to fake and is too small for its value.

Cartwheel, you are the king of resurrecting ancient topics! And why not! :)

If I had to vote (don't really like any of them that much!), it would be the £2 coin, good size and some of the commems are attractive
