I rather like the 1 pound and 2p designs.

I have never been a fan of the current £1 design and am rather glad with the proposed change.

Found a coronation 50p in my change today totally mint

I think these designs are great... I wonder if we'll have the chance to collect a full set of 2023 dates from our change?

I imagine so, particularly if you go to a bank to get some bags of coins. Otherwise a UNC set is £33.

I remember when PROOF sets were a fraction of that.

Indeed. But prices are so high these days that £30 doesn't go very far. I wouldn't worry when spending that sort of money on an impulse spend. (But the RM is not a place I go to for impulse purchases though.)

I agree - nice designs.

I was never a fan of the sections of shield.

I think the shield designs are quite clever but each coin doesn't look great on its own unfortunately. Non collectors looking at their change wouldn't even know they can be put together to form a shield.

Exactly - it's clever but I didn't think the designs looked good on their own either.

Buy the new designs if you want but don't expect an instant profit , you will be very disappointed , a profit might be there after 50 years

So far the 50p has been confirmed for circulation. There have been hints of the 20p as well.

Let's face it, the Irish got these designs nearly 100 years ago!
