Paddy Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 Yes, I know it has been mounted and repaired, but still an attractive design. The Hapsburg chin was the clincher for me: 3 Quote
Sword Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 Thalers often feature impressive designs and I particularly like the cityscape reverses. Even 14th and 15th centuries thalers are usually milled and minted to a much higher standard compared to the hammered English coinage of the same period. 2 Quote

Paddy Posted July 29, 2021 Author Posted July 29, 2021 I don't often get drawn to the dark side (foreign coins) but here a couple more I got a while back. I particularly like the Hannover piece as it is George IV as Elector of Hannover as well as King of Britain. Quote
Nonmortuus Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 I love German coins. I have very little knowledge on them but love the designs. 2 Quote
