I've had this piece for years and every time it gets dragged out, my opinion changes. At present, I think that it's a counter. Other times I think that it's a sadly defaced farthing.

22 mm, 4.52 gr.

My guess is that it's a counter that's been sawn in half. The obverse looks convincing, but not quite right? The rim is thick and the teeth are long. Mind you, there's nothing to say it isn't a uniface pattern, though why that date? Here's a Google image of the genuine article to compare side by side.

TBH, I think it's the quality of the piece that I find odd. Better than any other counter of the period that I've handled, and most of the farthings too.

Do the legend punches match, or the datal figures? Can't tell from the images as they are too small, but Chris' image is good enough to compare.

This last one I've included as I believe it's by the same maker due to the reverse crown. It has 'TWI' on for Thomas Wells Ingram, the only one of the three to have any markings on. All three are 22mm gilt brass and weigh 4.0 to 4.1gm

Without diving through lots of boxes at this time of night, I know that I have one or two of (probably) the first picture. Your third coin is quite exciting to me. Chances are that it's a mule. The reverse as shown comes from a character known as Paul Pry. "Just drop't in,  hope I don't intrude" features on a number of tokens and one or two medals, but yours is the first of its type that I've seen.

Tomorrow, I'll try to find some of my examples.

I do have a fourth which has the 'just drop't in' on one side within a wreath border. The other side has the image of Paul Pry with the legend 'hope I don't intrude' above. I'm assuming this is the standard version as I've seen quite a few of these
