Mark1984 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Hello all, I've recently come into possession of a fair sized coin collection, mostly silver proofs as listed below. All in good condition, with COA unless otherwise stated. Could anyone advise of the best way to sell a collection like this? I appreciate selling one-by-one on eBay is probably the most profitable, but could you recommend anywhere that may be interested as a 'job lot'? Unwilling Numismatist Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Thats some proof collection, and quite a lot of it is on my wish list (but don't tell the nice people on here :)). Unfortunately I bought a complete collection already this month and 'er indoors would frown quite a lot if I went after another without selling at least some of the last one! Good luck with it though. Quote
PWA 1967 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) You will as you say get more selling them individually. However to get rid of them all quickly maybe try LCA who are currently taking submissions for an auction the first week in December although you will only have a week or so to contact them. Tennants is another one who seem to sell alot.....Not sure if i have spelt it right but another auctioneer for them. A dealer who may be interested who is sound is Andy at ...The Coin Gallery ,might be worth a call. Its up to you what you would accept and most of them there are lots of. Good luck Edited October 23, 2017 by PWA 1967 Quote
Rob Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 The problem is going to be finding someone close enough. I'm in Manchester, John is in the north-east. West of Scotland can go a long way west in terms of time to get there. I'm not sure if there are any Scottish dealers on here. 1 Quote

I had PM'd him Pete, but no reply as yet. I have bought similar stuff in the past and had the seller send it via Special Delivery. It works okay as long as the seller has enough trust in the buyer!
