Chris Chambers Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 I have had my collection for a few years, and I would like to check the value of my collection, as I have been asked by my insurance company to give them a breakdown of my collection and there current value. I have gone back to the place to whom I have purchase the coins from “The Royal Mail” and they informed me that they can’t help. I have been informed that there is a reference book that the insurances use, but when I do a google, I can’t find any reference to any books, which the company uses. Can anyone help me, in advising me in what reference book I can use or website? Quote
PWA 1967 Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Hi Chris and welcome to the forum. I assume your royal mail is a typo unless first day covers do you mean royal mint. If so i hope i dont dissapoint you but unless limited they may just be coins / box sets sold in the thousands. Can you let the forum know what you have ?. Quote
bagerap Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Chris, are you talking about the Royal Mail numismatic First Day covers? If so, very few of them have much collectable value. Quote

Sleepy Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 If it is Royal Mail First Day Covers then Stanley Gibbons is the standard reference, well it was 40 years ago when I was a stamp collector. Quote
