1934 Wreath Crown Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 Not a GB coin but one of only 2 Off metal strikes known. The other is in the coin Museum of their central bank.I just love the pattern. Quote

I have not posted some of the more recent purchases, as this lot just came today in one delivery along with some ancient silver and other foreign coins (7 1/2 Rouble one year type). Maybe a new thread on Favourite Sovereigns and Other Gold Coins??? A lot of the members here prefer silver coins but I just love collecting gold coins. Quote
VickySilver Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Very nice lot there. The gold as a series has always been an intimidator to me, but no saying you have to have all of them. Nice going on the 1841 sov there! 1 Quote
mrbadexample Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I think that would sort my Christmases out for the next 30 years. Nice haul. 1 Quote
1934 Wreath Crown Posted May 26, 2016 Author Posted May 26, 2016 Thanks guys. Being an amateur collector, I don't profess to being knowledgeable about coins by any means. Just don't have the time to read up on all the rare coins but do use common sense when buying.  Have been on the look-out for some of these coins for a while though and felt I would have a long wait before some were available again. So glad you liked them. Quote
