Chris Perkins Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I always make a point of putting 1953 farthings aside to check properly later. And discovered this one today. A 2+A in high grade with good lustre. Loss of lustre on the high parts, old finger print traces on rev. I bet PCGS would call it MS something RB. It's GEF though, surely. Sorry about the quick phone pics. 1 Quote
jacinbox Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Been looking for one of those a long time. Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 Not bad is it. It's for sale of course. What's fair? Quote

Chris Perkins Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 It does read like 25p but I think he meant .25 of a pee. 0.0025. Quote

copper123 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Nice rarity , I have never found one , a pity the obverse is such a poor strike , there are a few light marks as well , a nice find most are well under this grade Ef seems to be the usual grade they are found in. Quote
Colin G. Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Last one I had was EF with lustre traces and went quite quickly at £30 Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 Thanks Colin. So £50 then jacinbox? Lots of lustre, well worth that I think (and if you disagree you can return it). Quote
copper123 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I think you might get £60 a true BU should fetch in the region of £80- £100 Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 £50 inc recorded postage is fine by me. Quote
VickySilver Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Chris - I'd buy at that level. Do you take Paypal or other payments from the states? Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 Yes, but as jacinbox was first to register an interest, can we see what he says first? Quote
