I just bought a proof 1937 penny missing waves woot woot but are they rare ?

That is obverse 2 But imo the stroke of P is almost dead center But you have the I and the large stop as quantifying markers

obv 1 P of IMP points directly to a border tooth I of IMP points to the left of a border tooth The colon before IMP nearly points to a border tooth The dot after IMP is small The letter P is thinner OBV2 The vertical stroke of P is slightly right of a border tooth The I of IMP points to the right of a border tooth The colon before IMP points to a space The dot after IMP is larger THe letter P is thicker

By the look of the colons it appears to be Obv A I give up looking at pictures they lie lol. No idea now from your blow up its obverse 1 and 2 but the thinner P if it is lol edges me towards obverse 2. Changed my mind again there is no way the the P can be right of the tooth so it must be Obverse 1 and that is my final vote from the swedish jury

Its reverse B sea line is above the tooth on reverse A it intersects the tooth

Maybe but it seems to occur quite randomly . It is like when I go through an assorted bag of coins you can tel the year on some simply by the finish on the coins . Maybe a small metal impurity causes some of it? What about the bust though that is a design difference not a strike erosion ? One curves down straight the other curves out and to a tapered point

Like I said the left hand coin it is very subtle but if you look under the chin you will see a line of raised dots Arcing from where the adam's apple would be in a curve from right to left.

It's not post mint damage can you not see the crown to the right of of the truncation on the right hand coin and the 2nd crown under the chin. Its a plain as day. Perhaps because this is my niche I am used to seeing outlines and omitting the impossible. I was thinking earlier it might well be upside down or at a slight angle. India would be my choice the half-rupee . The gothic design remained the same for many years . I bought the one on the left hoping it is the stop between R and A of gratia variety. I Shall when it arrives if it is or not

I'll post this here guys seeing as they are ebay coins. Yes I know they are lowballers. But notice the 1863 shilling has been struck on another coin. the design looks like two crowns one left one right and some sort of tower or castle in the middle . Thing is whatever the design is you can clearly see it . I see things like this all the time but none are ever as clear. the 1872 falls in that category it has the same strike over you probably need good eyes but across the face you can see the line that runs across on both coins. I don't know weather there is an english design of this nature or if this was struck on old foreign coins but seeing as there are 9 years between the dates they must of had stockpiles of whatever they are? anyone care to chip in what coins they are struck on? Oh the 1872 is the left coin and the 1863 is on the right think its at £37 on fleabay at the moment even in that state and I think everyone can see the what's beneath.

Check both coins and see if the hologram appears in both the shaded shields under the queen's neck it should change in the light from a 1 to a £ sign. If it doesn't it is probably a knock off. Unless they used to designs already for 2016 coin . One with a stern face and the other after someone spiked her tea with some happy pills? Definitely two different busts and I assume we only have one bi-metallic £1?

I have seen quite a few like the 1929 and the 1931. I ignore them as with the 1934 I had all the waves were missing including the rollers against britannia's shield Same as the 1934 pictured above. Once you set a benchmark anything less that identical just can't hold up and I feel would be ignored . Or described them as part missing waves. I would like to find one with the right hand side missing

CGS would grade it 65 no doubt

I wouldn't even attempt is as I said somewhere before. I was given a D+ for my interpretation of a stickman lol

6+G obverse 6 has the B of Britt closer to the head than on any other obverse and nearly all obv 6 have a die flaw behind the colon D: closest to the border line next to the queens sholder

I was tempted to buy it as a reminder to myself. Keep it real son keep it real
