It is not a mule but it is what Freeman quotes in his footnotes which mention that at times on some 1860 coins some teeth that are not struck properly give the impression of looking like beads due to an improper strike. People do collect this as a variety but £200 is a bit over the moon. The teeth at 6 o clock are not struck well and look like beads and there are others which are not linked to the rim. I have one of these which I posted recently on the "More Pennies" thread

Looks like Vicky's hit puberty look at that lovely lump (Adam's Apple in her neck). For someone that does not collect Silver even I can say that is fake The way her neck curves etc

Yeah with that comment I have gone from being a "Regular participating member" to a "very familiar face". Doesn't surprise me considering I have been on this page almost daily (.... and spending considerable time on it) for the last 3 or 4 months

I would agree with NGC for the following reasons a) Looking at Britannia's left tit you can see some wear and on top of this wear there is a coating of colour (artificial shine?). Now if the coin were to wear it would have taken the luster off first. The fact that on top of the luster there is wear is suspecious There are some minor scratches/hairlines as I have shown in the circled areas. The area around the leg is particularly interesting. These scratches again have luster which fills the crevices. Only rarely would we see such a degree of scratches on a platchet before it is struck. The fact that the coin had this level of scratches before the luster was applied makes me believe this luster was applied after the coin saw a bit of circulation.

Nice coin Prax. It's not one of the scarce types but still a beautiful coin. Was it a type you were missing in your collection or did you get it as an upgrade? Neither it is a NGC 64 RB and I got it 2 reasons a) because it looked like there was a raised area between R and G and because it is the first example that I have which conforms to Freeman's footnote 3, which states that sometimes the tooths give the impression of being beads as the area closest to the rim is not struck properly. With this one there are about 20 tooths suffering from this problem in various places

That said the 3's upper portion looks like a classic open 3 but the lower part shows the serif extending a little more than the normal open 3s.

No David it is not unfortunately. but it seems like it has an extra bit of the lower serif pulled outwards, which could make it more scarce than the open 3. A better pic would help
