  1. You,ve got me paranoid about coins with heart shapes on them being fake now Stuart. I,m seeing them everywhere!! This one just caught my eye going through ebay...is it just my imagination? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1566-Queen-Elizabeth-1st-Sixpence/192305602915?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649????
  2. Hi. Can anyone tell me if there were two different types of 1757 George II Sixpence or are there fakes of this coin? Only i have this one and it has the heart shape you see on fakes on the shoulder. Also the middle line at the top of his shoulder is a V shape instead of straight up and down. Thanks.

  9. Thank you for the info Rob. Good to know we have knowledgeable chaps on here like yourself to keep us right, which is always appreciated. Personally i could not have distinguished this from the real thing. But then again, i wouldn't spend that amount on a coin from ebay.
  10. Oh yes Stuart, i see what you mean now with the heart. Why do you think they do this with the fakes, that tell tale sign with the heart shape?

  14. Any ideas how to make this coin a bit more aesthetically pleasing looking? The toning looks bad around the nose area.

  16. Keep up the good work Stuart. I,ve also been reporting them when i see them on this thread. As you said, the more people reporting it the better. It also lets me see the dodgy coins before i jump in with 2 feet!!

  21. He seems to have all different weights on his other listings Rob. The buyers seem wary enough, but throwing away £100+ on a chance its legitimate is a bit of a risk. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1902-sovereing/322692170352?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
  22. This "sovereign" looks a bit iffy, judging by the way the auction is going.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/sovereign/322692101917?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
