What i cannot understand is, why has he still got 100% feedback, after selling at least a dozen different dated halfcrowns a fortnight ago. Surely not all collectors are that naive that they think their purchase is real.

Ok. I,ve bought my new Freemans Bronze catalogue and had a good read at it. Then this1860 penny on ebay gets thrown in the mix. It has a triple strike on the F. I put in a high bid for it but was still outbid. Nice one. Its quite a high looking grade coin (apart from the marks on the obverse which may clean off) and personally, if i was selling it, i would have sold it separately or at least have a better picture of it. Do those three lions look like they,ve just been minted? ???

Cheers Zookeeper. I had a watch on it but missed the auction. I wasn't at all sure what sort of price it would sell for as both places i searched for prices said it was extremely rare. Your obviously in the know. By Davies, is this a coin price guide book?

Yes i did notice, with a bit of BBC news, that the £1 capital cities set shot up to nearly £40 overnight. Calmed down again after a couple of days. I keep trying to stay away from Kews but cannot help myself if its going cheap enough. I remember grudging £20 for them a couple of years ago. I,ve 3 Kews just now bought betwee £70 & £75. When ebay have their £1 selling fee on i will list them at £90 each & postage. ???
