  1. A bit of a cheeky listing. ..... https://www.ebay.com/itm/George-1st-Farting/152758255053?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2748.l2649
  2. No way!! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-1986-Irish-Flax-1-one-pound-coin/172953076648?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
  3. I find they try to make even their darkest toned silver coins look light with whatever app they use. But everyone has their know opinions about this method of photography.
  4. When it comes to ebay its a case of the good, the bad and the darned right ugly. A bit of a minefield out there as i,ve found to my cost. Even buying from reputable dealers like DNW auctions, when you receive the coins, they are nothing like what they were in the pictures as they have all been photoshopped to a uniform colour, but who is going to complain to a large company like that. I see a few sellers on ebay creeping in with that style of listing as well and i,m surprised they have 100% feedback. I,ve purchased one or two coins like this and quite frankly they,ve just been tarted up. I just avoid these coins now.
  5. Not me ?
  6. Here is another 1889 shilling that sold on ebay yesterday as V/F. Though is this the small head variety? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SILVER-1889-VICTORIAN-shilling-IN-V-F-GRADE-COIN-A-GOOD-COLLECTORS-ITEM-/401430160435?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=b8BWj%2FFYvI09EkLSnPduB8JVS14%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  7. Not quite uncirculated. ... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VICTORIA-SILVER-SHILLING-1887-UNC/122770467135?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
  8. Whats your opinion on this sellers coins? Have they been cleaned, polished or dipped or all three? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Antique-Silver-Shilling-Queen-Victoria/172938760919?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160727114228%26meid%3Dfbb2a4add7a9485b90ea16ae4bcff29d%26pid%3D100290%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D172938760919&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507
  9. Here is a novel way to get top dollar for your scrap silver. "Over 40 silver coins counted." The big counters on top in clear view.....whats the chances the rest of the 40 are all 3ds? ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JOB-LOT-APPROX-1020-GRAMS-OF-OLD-COINS-WITH-OVER-40-SILVER-99p-SM2/401424163433?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
  10. He must have a bundle of them!! I would imagine some buyers would know they were fake and bought them as filler coin for their collection. The other buyers....well they ought to know better. At the very least you would think they would look at his other items for sale and realise they have been duped. But obviously not as he still has 100% positive feedback. Strange. I wonder how much he pays for these?
  11. Haha.......i received 2 messages so i am more popular!! I think the words " threatening", " aggressive" "honest" "report" and "ebay" amongst others were mentioned. So he has been busy. Though why the words....its a fake...and another...and another annoyed him so much i,ve no idea. I did reply back to him and ask why he felt the need to send me these messages. After all all i was only answering his question of "What is this?" and asked him if it was supposed to be some guessing game for naive customers. Never received a reply.
  12. If your planning on selling anything of value on ebay, its worth waiting until they have their £1 or 5% final valuations fee on offer. They sometimes have this offer on for a couple of days per month.
  13. The lengths people will go, to sell an old tin..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OLD-TIN-CONTAINING-A-LARGE-JOB-LOT-OF-OLD-COINS-9-99/401423600095?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
  14. I,ve reported most if his listings to ebay, but i guess its a bit late in the day for even ebay to get them taken down. I answered all his questions of "What is this?" by saying its a fake....and another...and another...etc. He knows perfectly well what they are.
  15. ???????
  16. Keen for a sale!! Reported. ?
  17. I so wanted it for my collection just for the fun aspect of it. Outbid @ £77 .....maybe a lucky escape!!
  18. Haha or maybe its her conjoined twin!!
  19. Gosh, that was a powerful can of lager!! I,m starting to see double!! ?http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1708-Queen-Anne-silver-three-penny-coin/122758009027?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
  20. At least with you guys at the helm, about 80% of the fakes we report are withdrawn from sale. Saves some amateur collector adding a fake to their collection and it also kind of disuades these scammers from trying to sell more of them. Keep up the good work. Its interesting to see what these fakes look like.
  21. ?Reported too?
  22. I,ve bookmarked it anyway for future reference. Maundy coins and everything in there!
  23. Did you create an account with them Stuart? If there detail system is as dodgy as their coins, i would be disinclined to give them any info.
  24. ?
  25. An unusual strike on an 1867 Queen Victoria Penny. ....does it make it more valuable...or less valuable due to the die crack running through it? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1867-VICTORIAN-PENNY/272869541228?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
