  1. Have to say I was thinking GVF, although the second lot of photos look better than the first, but grading is meaningless if you paid the right money. It ran into 4 figures Red ;-)
  2. 2nd and 3rd attempt at the said OBV
  3. So here are the OBV and REV of the Sovereign, and however much i try i'm struggling with a good picture of the OBV, but here it is anyway
  4. No problem, i'll be posting my other error coin on here tomorrow
  5. Am not sure it really helps, the camera i have can only get so near then goes pear shaped, i've taken a picture and just cut out around the date. I have looked at it through a glass/lupe and i can definately see the last 8 is thicker at the top right, hope the picture will show it

I'm a Scotsman, anything thats free is good, count me in to :-)
  7. Hey its no problem, i would suggest that some of these error coins were not actually meant to be seen in the way they were made, hence the fact it might be harder to spot 1 error from another, and unless you know what you are looking for and or perhaps with a microscope, cameras not always point those errors out and i assume they are always better in the hand under closer examination. I will try and take another picture and post it here, as the one i uploaded had to be reduced and unfortunately i reduced it to much, so i'll take abother in the morning.
  8. The picture on the left was the coin i sold on ebay, i got this from a dealer and if the picture was large enough you'd see that the last 8 had clearly thicker lines
  9. I'll also post the obligatory pictures when it arrives, although its bank holiday here next week and i just know its gonna get caught up in that holiday post.....scheiße
  10. I echo what £400 and Huss have said. There's damage to the O in ANNO but it doesn't look like an error, ditto the A. And the G in DG looks odd, but not "variety odd" if you know what I mean. All else seems to check out : it's Type 2 bust, WW has stops, legend and design look right. You going to let us in on the secret? Well basically most of you have spotted a few errors in it, and yes 400 we could say that we are now online buds etc, and yes you are also correct in saying that it was an image gallery picture taken from the website in which i did actually buy it from lol. I do realise that these things need to be checked and verified, and it could possibly be a die clash or so, but if you take a look at the 1st N in Britanniar you will see a strike running across the letter, and also if you put your finger over the second leg of the N and run your eye to the A next to it i am more than sure it is an N over an A, also when your finger is over said leg, do you not think that it looks like an A?
  11. Personally, i would'nt start it at 2450, i'd start at a pound and place a reserve on it, you will then be enticing people to make a bid, and you also didn't list the spink number
  12. Spink 2010 prices are as follows............. F 950 and VF 3000
  13. Hello people, ok so i have bought this mighty beast, and i will say, it was only bought to sell because i saw 2 definate errors in it, with a possibility of 4. Please don't scream at me, you have to understand, i am at this moment in time unemployed, and what i paid for the coin was a mighty chunk of cash, and dare i say it, i wanted to make a few pounds on it, so please don't chastise me for this. The coin in question is a William IIII sovereign 1833, a rarity in itself, and as you all know, i like you to hunt the error, so 2 pix of the OBV and REV are here for you to view and see if you can find the 2 definate, and possible 4 errors. If i am correct, this could possibly be a unique coin.
  14. Just noticed the 1 Gulden, prices VF €40 EF €70 and UNC €130
  15. And i personally would'nt go by Krause values, you sell these in Germany, you'll probably achieve better than those Krause values by 2 or 3 times
  16. The 5 Gulden in the Jager book goes like this VF €450 EF €750 and UNC €1500 The 10 Gulden in the Jager book goes like this VF €1700 EF € 2500 and UNC €3600 i personally think the 10 is a good coin and probably around the EF+ mark, so you have a couple of good coins there, and as i said my book is 2 years old, so the prices may be higher
  17. 5 and 10 Pfennig danzig both have the same prices in the Jaeger book VF €5 EF €10 and UNC €25 my book is 2 years old, but i hope this is a guide for you
  18. Hi, if you post a picture of the both sides of the coin then people could grade and value it for you
  19. The first one looks like a commemoration medal of perhaps a visit to Ireland of the King, the 2nd is a German or Austrian Thaler, the first is simply a guess but from the REV i'd guess a medal or something
  20. I think this guy is missing his medication, or his last brain cell has died. R.I.P Your posts seem to go off into some rant or another, especially if someone says something that you don't like, this if you didn't realise is a coin forum, dedicated to COINS, there are other forums for past/present or future history and if you need to vent try somewhere else. The people on here are very knowledgable and i for one have taken some great advice from these pople, if you have nothing useful to say about coins or medals then leave the forum and rant elsewhere, i find it highly likely you won't leave, rather, kicked off sooner or later if you keep attacking people for having an opinion and maybe disagreeing with what you wanna say. Now i've had my say, i assume you'll disagree and start having at go at me. I will just say TTFN
  21. Yup, i think these are all commeratives, 1 year types
