  1. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't an exodus a plural version of exit. I.e. more than one thing exited? I know I'm being a bit of an Oli, but you only lost one phone so it can't be correct. it can also mean emmigration (not that my phone has emmigrated but hey!)
  2. My sister managed to drop hers down the toilet before. She 'borrowed' dads until hers dried out, but it never worked again as far as I know. Let me know if you find it. there is a strange exodus(sp?) with mine, i place it on my bedroom desk and i go out, i come back and it is not there and no one was in the house!...i have looked and looked but still not anywhere to be seen...oh well
  3. I take pride in my coins ...and that was meant to say worst but hey!

  5. hmm...i wouldn't trust spink's too much, they seem to overprice many coins...
  6. hmm...that union jack looks more like the scottish flag to me (blue background with white cross (X) in middle)... Looks ugly if you ask me...was it minted in 1793 or a latter date?
  7. hmm...scotland?
  8. Probably a few victorian farthings... thanks
  9. i do not get it...
  10. They look like proofs.... it's difficult to try to explain what a proof looks like, if you've never seen one. You need to buy a couple so that you know. You are also very unlikely to find any proofs among piles of circulated coinage. (that was a quote from the forum admin )

    Pennies

Well, from that the prices will not be much: 1917 Penny = about £0.15 1924 sixpence = about £2.00 1940 threepence = if silver (round); about £0.50, if nickle-brass (dodecagonal); about £1 ...but they probably would not sell if you were to try to sell them

we, the members of this forum, should be able to give you a price, but we will need to know more about the conditions other than 'a bit discoloured but reasonable condition' ...read here for better info about grading

  19. so are we stil using the database? ...what date range do you want me to do for the fractions and the farthings?
  20. A tip (to all rotographic forum members); on colin cooke site, each coin that has been sold says sold...if you want to know the price that it sold for then put your cursor over the picture that links you to the coin picture and read the end bit of the http adress in the bottom bar of the screen (the one that says 'done') and it will say a number (eg:75 = £75.00, 45 = £45.00 etc...)
