  1. hmm...ok... Example Cover Design 2
  2. Still an easy lifestyle... what would you prefer, shoveling coal all day or self-employed coin dealing? (my cheque is on its way )
  3. The older the coin the lower the grade for beauty ...ie: i would hate to have a BU 1700 farthing, i would prefer the 'older look'
  4. yes, me too, thats why i strictly go for BU's
  5. Easy lifestyle...
  6. I have a Charles II farthing chris (here) ...and yes, i know it would be an 'enormous' task, but yes, i would be glad to learn more about his coinage and at the same time help rotographic
  7. I use 'N' as a grade better than 'A' so NVF is slightly better conditioned then AVF. I also put Gem UNC before BU to use as NBU
  8. Dont say im being mad, but i would like to try to tackle charles II if this book comes together
  9. On the rotographic website under 'the titles' it says 'more titles coming soon...' ...well, what about doing an early milled book along with the normal Collecters Coins book?
  10. yes, i think that mr. Gouby has an easily understandable system there...
  11. The main reason that i dont trust eBay is because if one takes a picture of a copper/bronze coin with the camera's flash on then it can sometimes appear to have full lustre (i only want modern milled BU bronzes you see)...
  12. Good to Very Fine? Fine condition is in between good and very fine grades. Um, if its an english penny then it is worth anything between £5-£30 depending on its type...do you have a digital camera?
  13. In my view i would not buy from eBay (pictures or not) and i would not buy a coin that has no reasonable picture. I mostly buy my coins from trusted dealers (Chris Perkins, Colin Cooke etc...), the reason that i dont trust eBay is for the fact that most of the coins listed are poorly described or falsely described.
  14. yay! one silver, one bronze
  15. I think that it would be too complex for one to even start, think of what one would have to look for; (lettering - to a bead or a space?, Date Varieties - Small date or Large date?...) There are endless numbers of different type varieties, but to find even one of them would be near imposible. Even for a £50 pound voucher, i wouldent even think of looking.
  16. hmm...may i ask, is there any particular reason --other than coins-- that you are traveling to london?
  17. we shall need more info then "1752 copper coin etched ocv"
  18. Who will win the olympics this year?
  19. i wonder where that avatar came from Aethelred
  20. Hmm...removing dirt is...well...you can do this under soapy water yes, but remember that cleaning the coin even if it is just dirt is not really a good idea...if i were you i would steer away from cleaning it...
  21. i mean that it is all a bit packed together...at first glance it is hard to understand
  22. Hmm...it looks a bit tatty...but otherwise ok
  23. looks chinese to me (do not trust my decision though, i am not into anciant coins )
