  1. Looks more like copper or bronze to me.............
  2. If any of the coins in my halfpenny collection gets verdigris......I will convert to silver, promise!
  3. I am at school for 8.00 but my lessons don't start until 9.00. We have a 20 minute break in the morning and an hour for lunch.
  4. Bornze!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't collect copper (yet), and JMD is just getting into copper.
  5. I'll try and get it then........I'll have to turn it on as soon as I walk in the door (around 3.45) P.S: I can't believe that your school day finishes at 3.40 JMD! For me it is 3.20 but I usually stay for coursework clubs etc.
  6. Nice bit of bronze, good on you! Btw, welcome to this forum!
  7. I know, I can't get it where I live. Maybe I should e-mail them to ask for a download.
  8. Like father like son eh? The shop where I work seels the most fireworks in Essex, even though we are a bike/toy shop, we also sell guns, fireworks etc. Last year, the queue reached 25 metres down the street for fireworks!
  9. I thought that "snoopers" were illegal, I do however support them totally because the police are just looking for an excuse to raise money.
  10. It's when the older boys make your tie so tight that the knot is peanut sized! Well...thats a new turm for it... It's an old term in our school, particularly popular with the lower years. When students mature in years 10 and 11 (my year) it is rather unfashonable to 'peanut' someone.
  11. I doubt he would have been told that JMD, maybe he just cannot access the internet at the moment for some reason?
  12. I think that I will miss the early victorian bronze, I might just struggle through the copper in years to come!
  13. This is an 'interesting' one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...3932106585&rd=1 somehow makes me deeply suspicious Just take a look at his ebay ID, the ID speaks for itself! He must have just done a google search to get any picture!
  14. I wonder if a 1933 penny will come up for sale in the near future?
  15. Yes I did notice that, my dad got it whilst on a business trip to South Africa. He told me that they had run out of '2000' certificates, so they had to use a '2001' certificate.
  16. I've just ordered 60x26mm capsules from Chris, I hope that my halfpennies fit in them! Btw Chris, have you got my package yet?
  17. I wouldn't dream of even trying the 1860-1894 halfpenny series. If I could not fill a date or variety, then I would feel that my collection is incomplete, and I wouldn't appreciate it as much............
  18. If they were not sloppy, collecting wouldn't be as fun!
  19. Halfpennies are great to collect ! I collect 1900-1936 halfpennies, but if you can afford to collect before about 1895 then you will have a great collection! Welcome to the forum by the way.
  20. Beautiful owl, especially in such high grade!
  21. My internet was down thursday and friday last week due to a virus. I had to post through my school computers!
  22. Yes, it is quite normal. In the plastic cases, the toning will be a rainbow colour. The value of the coins will not be devalued in most cases.
  23. Maybe his internet is down?
  24. I must admit, I love the portraits on ancient greek coins.
  25. I think that we need a numismatic topic that really racks everyones brains. The winter will definately bring a few posts in. Edit: I have also noticed that William is very quiet, he might be on holiday?
