  1. The next fair is on Saturday 6th november. There are fairs in February, June, and November. It starts at 9.00AM and finishes sometime in the afternoon. You should come, it will be a great experiance......
  2. When I was there I saw a specialist sovereign dealer with an ansell sovereign.......
  3. I would strongly reccomend if you can, you come to the LCF in november because it has absolutely everything. From groats to third farthings, from 1826 £5 to hammered pennies. Everything and enything is at the LCF. Also, if you go then you will meet Chris! Honestly, it was the best day out I have ever been on. There is just so many high grade coins. In fact, I went mad and doubled the value of my collection overnight! Seriously, if you need to complete a variety, date, type run, then the LCF is the best place to do it! Who can come?
  4. I get french radio all the time but it is usually quite a faint signal. Btw, who on here has met one-another. I have met Chris, but that's it.....
  5. Thanks Sylvester! I think that I have just got a few carbon spots, little devils! Btw, how can you remove verdigris?
  6. I hate frauds on Ebay! This may be the first person to go into the Ebay police files that Oli wants to set up. Then again, he could have been sold it.........
  7. Did the hammering make the observe portrait very unclear then?
  8. I can't pick it up where I live. Did you Coppers?
  9. I did spend £30 or more, infact, it was £55! I feel robbed.
  10. Same here, I am going to stay with my grandparents tomorrow and they have about 5 bags of ten pence peices. Maybe I will get lucky!?
  11. I order from him quite regularly, so why won't he offer me free copies?!
  12. I have three of the four varieties. I just need the Obv B rev A!!!!!!!!!
  13. Its quiet without Chris here.............
  14. Probably, the people who ask questions usually come back sooner or later.
  15. I don't think I will bother subscribing to his catalogue because I would rather put the money towards the LCF in november.
  16. I was looking in my change from yesterday and I found an Obv A rev B! I will keep it im my little slot for that variety.
  17. I live in a relativly modern house, and I have a large radiator in my room so I hope that will minimise the risk of verdi gris.
  18. I might copy Sylvester and keep my coins in capsules in a cabinet!
  19. Does a cabinet still provide adequete protection against Verdi gris? Also, does storing them in capsules lower the risk of it occuring?
  20. Brockage coins are worth quite a lot because they are usually rare. I would say your George VI brockage would be worth £20-£30 in VF and about £50 in EF.
  21. Thankfully it wasn't your farthings Oli!
  22. I think my bedroom is a low risk area because it is usually quite hot but all the same, I will have to keep my eyes peeled though.
  23. It is called a BROCKAGE (the same design on each side). It will certainly be worth at least £10 today but will certainly go up in value in time. There have been brockage examples all through the milled coinage, but they are usually quite rare.
  24. What conditions encourage vergredis? I keep my collection in capsules in Lindner trays and they all seem to be alright.
  25. I am contemplating a bid too. It looks really unusual, I will probably just wait to see how it does.
