  1. Hi everyone, look at this: Wierd I am puzzled.
  2. It will probably be a George III halfpenny meant to be legal tender in America.
  3. It would never be accepted as legal tender because it would be worth an uncertain amount due to gold prices.
  4. The conditions you are describing is from fair to fine. They will not be worth much because they are very worn however, in the case of the 1695 one, it will be worth around £10 if it is in the condition you decribe.
  5. There are a few different varieties for 1826 half pennies, can you post a picture?
  6. All halfpennies: 1. 1908 BU Gem 2. 1924 BU gem 3. 1925ME BU 4. 1903 BU 5. 1934 BU Gem 6. 1922 BU 7. 1901 UNC good lustre. 8. 1925OH BU 9. 1936 BU Gem 10. 1909 UNC good lustre I am aiming to complete my date run in UNC good lustre or better. 7. Cool, just make sure you keep hoarding them like us!
  8. To be quiet honest JMD, I am too tired to even contemplate argueing with you, you just do what you want.
  9. I didn't mean to cause offence JMD, I was just stating that a 1992 currency 10p is not silver!
  10. It isn't a silver coin JMD??????????
  11. It's wierd to have one in almost mint condition, are you sure that it is 1992 JMD?
  12. But those cabinets don't come in my half penny's size (26mm)
  13. Muhahaha we will be virtually the only ones who have hoarded them!
  14. I know but it will really make my collection look impressive. At the moment, my Lindner trays don't make them look impressive at all.
  15. I might ask him to make me a custom made cabinet for my half pennies. I will keep my trays for the rest of my coins.
  16. Not 5 large trays, five small pull out plastic trays.
  17. I have designated five trays for each variety, I will just spend the Obv A Rev A ones because there is no point in hoarding them.
  18. It will be like an atomic bomb to me financially.
  19. I have worked out that I have 2 Obv B Rev B 1992 10p's but I'm keepin 'em peeled!
  20. I hope to get a cabinet when I have completed my date run, which will be a while.
  21. I found the observes and reverses and their different combinations: Observe A: L, I and A in ELIZA point to space between dots Observe B: L, I and A in ELIZA point directly at dots. Reverse A: 1 of 10 points directly at dot. Four tufts under chest, lowest hair of mane detached from back of lion. Reverse B: 1 of 10 points at space betwwen dots. Five tufts under chest, lowest hair of mane attached to back of lion. Obv A, Rev A, Wire edge: Extremely common (about 40%) Obv A, Rev A, Flat edge: Extremely common (about 40%) Obv B, Rev B, Flat edge: Very common (about 20%) Obv A, Rev B, Flat edge: Scarce (less then 1%) Obv B, Rev A, Flat edge: Rare (much less than 1%) I hope this answers some questions!
  22. So you have decided to move into farthings now...............?
  23. I must have bought my halfpennies from at least eight different dealers.............
  24. The berries and leaves are almost impossible to distinguish on F and lower VF grades.
