  1. Let them cry!!!!!! I'll save all my Earth-shattering insights and life-changing observations for this Forum. ( It will actually be a half-baked pile of badly thought through tosh masquerading as intellectual mumbo jumbo. It's a new system. ) ( Rather loosely based on the old system, if I'm perfectly honest)
  2. Yes, it's not clear, but the German being A to Z would, I thought, have been the smoking gun for someone.... I'll think up another one.......
  3. Rightyho..... "if you wrote down the numbers 1 to 999 in alphabetical order, which numbers are first and last on the list?" Mr.T was soooo close.
  4. Again? You do lots of quizzes then Pete?
  5. Tell you what Pete, I'll give you $170 for it- problem solved.....;)
  6. That's a bit of a surprise.....didn't know there was that sort of tracking of a coins 'passport'.... Mind you, that price was a surprise too- nice one!
  7. Just did- omg how inept. Politics is now the domain of all the weirdos from school......
  8. My late father in law, a pilot, used to play this to my wife when she was a girl. Still a masterclass in deadpan public speaking..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KbUNzi58wM
  9. Oh wow ...... you are closer than you can imagine- and yes, the German version is a dead giveaway......
  10. I hit a full stop whilst speed reading once- very nasty.....
  11. I'm sure I have that very wide date on a worn example - noticed it years ago in a pile of 1890's. Not sure if a good one commands a premium..
  12. Ohh...maybe I understand that you don't understand, but now I know you do. You not a Penny Freak then Rob? I had to fix my vacuum cleaner because it sucked because it didn't. Fixed it and now it doesn't suck because it does.
  13. Sorry, I don't understand.... i hadn't got a reasonable one like this, and it took some finding. Are they really common amongst members?
  14. Anyone got a good 1890 dropped 90?
  15. Haha! Nice one, but it's a wee bit more specific!
  16. Could I do that to some of the yobs where I live?
  17. Fantastic fairy story. I always get silver wrapped in pewter when I go magnet fishing too. Looks perhaps like a livery button to me.....
  18. Yes, you spotted the clue, but no, no big knowledge needed, and the question can be gleaned from any of the three answers....
  19. An Englishman, a Frenchman, and a German sit a test. There is one question. Same question to each, in English, French, and German. They answer it correctly. The Englishman's answer is 8, and 202. The Frenchman's answer is 100, and 23. the German's answer is 8, and 12. What was the question? The prize is, hopefully, a huge pile of reaction points from fellow forum members, including me. ( I don't set easy questions as any fule kno.....)
  20. Had this arrive - it's had a hard life, but still better than my other one...
  21. Yep, I have a feeling that's the four. Wasn't there one sold in the US in the last 2 years? Or was it an 1875 dot...can't remember....
  22. Oooh yeah- hadn't noticed that.... cheers Bob
