  1. They look like Nuremberg Jetons. Not my area but if you google them you should be able to get more information. Don't clean them.
  2. Spoken about this before and I've considered doing it myself but if it was done frequently you'd probably get a freeze on your account if someone lodged a complaint. I think its something we are all just going to have to accept is going on and ebay will not address it. I don't think there is any quick fix solution to this unfortunately without ebay support its pointless. I've stopped getting frustrated by it now. I just occasionally post the silly ones on here under eBays worst offerings. Just continue to report them , thats as much as we can do. Boycotting eBay will not work the numbers would be that small it would be like throwing a deckchair off the titanic.
  3. Them magic Westair beans are growing well! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122598565708
  4. I think I've seen that turd in York at the Jorvik centre but I could be wrong it could be another turd ?
  5. Thats just lip service to cover there backs and make it actually look like they are doing something. There actions say otherwise. Alot of us are serial reporters , me included. I've not seen anything pulled this year that I've reported other than stuff I've guilt tripped sellers into removing with moral advice.
  6. Very true. I've seen feedback people have left for coins I've identified as fake. I saw somebody once leave positive feedback for a William I pax penny thats sold by museum reproductions in Runcorn. He paid £250 for it. Same week another 2 where listed by separate sellers both identical and both replicas from the same cast mould as the first one.
  7. Thanks. I didn't even see that. ?
  8. I think so yes. I translated the link (Russian) and he's asking about the coins identity and evaluation. Value i assume. Looks as if its been holed at one stage. There's also some confusion as to whom it's attributed too. A user on the other forum is saying its swedish and the king is Anund Jakob.
  9. Oomf sold for £460. Ouch that's going to sting if they're savvy enough to realise it's garbage. Good luck with eBay customer service lol.
  10. I posted this one a few days ago. I've reported it. The sellers now updated the listing description to say hes " Got a bag full of them" http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122598565708 In other words when them two sell he will be listing more. Unbelievable!
  11. I noticed that days ago. Reported it too.
  12. It must be those pesky thieving magpies!
  13. A couple from the Lord Westair collection. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122598565708 Get the brasso out ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322590898692
  14. Pissing into the wind reporting anything to them unfortunately. I've given up doing that now and since I got threatened I've given up hassling the sellers to remove or be clear about what they sell. Unfortunately it's crawling with crooks on there. I've even been fleeced buying stuff for my kids (toys) . Best thing we can all do is be wary about what we buy and fight our corner if something goes wrong , we can't rely on eBay for anything other than replace or refund and if they start to deny us that liberty I'll be throwing the towel in and shopping elsewhere.
  15. I know. The only way the evidence could be put towards them was by photograph unless they where willing to come direct to your door for an explanation of why it was fake. I find their attitude towards it shoddy at the least. If Declan had not persisted the case they would of been favouring the seller (fraudster). Happy it was sorted eventually.
  16. ? Spot on lol. Bin it!
  17. Also terrible condition for such a hefty price tag. This ones just plain wrong. Another one of those wonderful "metal detecting finds" http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162589701240
  18. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162589451485 Speechless really lol.
  19. Well done. I knew it would pan out well in the end.
  20. Glad i don't collect circulating modern currency. Looks like a minefield!
  21. I don't own the Stewertby book as yet. I'll buy it once i find it priced up at a decent figure. Maybe a second hand copy. Gerry Slevin has a book on the Dublin mint of Henry III. It covers the Irish Long cross coins under Henry. Getting back to your coin , i can see why the flo attributed it as 4b. The X in Rex does look blocky like the 4b ones also the S is blunded. My 4a X is quite thin and wirey. I've not heard anyone put 4b coins in Johns corner before. I think he's probably made a mistake and got slighty confused.
  22. Same here. I've invested much money in numistimatic literature and books. The book i pictured and mentioned above is called shortcross legends its by Gerry Slevin. I got mine off amazon in 2015. Its still available there though its gone up slightly since i purchased my copy. I picked up the Churchill Thomas Brussels hoard book earlier in the year online for £30 pre owned. Its a good book though i haven't yet completed it fully. Its a definite must for anyone interested in Henry III Longcross coinage.
  23. The most recent book on the short cross coinage by Gerry Slevin marks 4b coins in Richards camp. My gut feeling when i saw it was the same , Richard immediately came to mind. I would personally mark it up as a Richard until someone can say otherwise with strong evidence. To me its a perfect example of a Richard coin , your very very lucky to find any Richards in good condition. Treasure it.
  24. I have the same one though mines 4a. I've always classed that degraded portrait with stubble as Richard.
  25. Double patard of charles the bold.
