  1. Don't give 'em ideas, I want to do that in the future!
  2. It's good that they are embracing it, but they could perhaps do it in a better way, like become an 'ebay partner' or something like that. Something to be more 'official'. They are the worlds most famous and longest established auctioneer of numismatic items, and they auction their numismatic books on the worlds most infamous auctioneer of numismatic items! The same place that many brain dead, clueless people auction numismatic items. Such irony.
  3. Yes, a couple of good ones there, but I don't want people to think i'm a satanist into black magic and all that, I'm really very normal. Do research on sleep paralysis, as that is what I had I believe.
  4. Everyone dreams of dead goats and devils at some point, don't they? The nick names aren't that inspiring. The first one was wonderful, but perhaps a tad too long.
  5. We are in the Nothing Whatsoever to do withCoins Area Chris... Yes, but one has to draw the line somewhere! You think a nickname would possibly be good then, I'm up for ideas.
  6. I'm sure people would humour you if you told them; very odd, I've never heard of anything like this before (in my long experience ) Maybe you could try hypnotherapy to induce it again....then film it and put it up for download! This is a coin site, not a paranormal site! Where I go when I leave my phsyical body is entirely my business.
  7. Yeah, even into space and other dimensions. Truth is, I really don't think I can take people where I am capable of going.
  8. Now, don't go thinking I'm rich Penny Master! That's the most far fetched thing in this thread!
  9. I don't know how much i'd charge, pretty cheap normally, but very very expensive during the school holidays!
  10. That's why I left it until now! Anyone asks, I can cover it with humour if need be!
  11. It is absolutely true...In fact I was almost able to have a controlled 'vacancy' the other night I think...Or perhaps it was a dream. That's a very good idea about the airline, I'll keep practicing.
  12. The devil visited me in bed one evening with a slaughtered goat. My body was paralysed and I felt him trying to enter me, in a possession kind of way. Further research has led me to believe that the devil part was a dream, and the paralysation was because I had left my body....The feeling of possession was me re entering my body, at which stage movement control was regained. It has happened twice and is a bit scary. Apparantly in time I can learn to control this, and leave my body during sleep at will....Which is wonderful, i'll save a fortune in airfairs to the UK!
  13. Yes, they are rubbish aren't they, with trade dollar reverse. I cringe at the language used to, it's so 'American Salesman' (no offence Americans) and it really makes me want to puke. I bet they only sell 1 set per 100,000 viewers of that page, which probably equate to about 5 a year!
  14. Well we cannot call them liars, maybe they made their coins by hand. I'm sure even Mr Lobel can't afford the Royal Mint equipment.
  15. Keep an eye, if that happens I'll remove the link!
  16. Perhaps they actually sell very few books through the website. i think they must just trying to sell as many books as possible any way they can, but keeping the coin side 'traditional'. Stinks of desperation to me though.
  17. No, never 421,000 visits.....421,000th in the world!
  18. According to alexa.com I probably get about 10x more than coincraft...It's not advertising that gets the hits to websites, it's search engine efficiency, and that is something I have studied and invested lots of time on.

  20. Add a '0' oli, it was 39,382 unique machines in March, some of those will be search engines, some will be people looking for something else, that end up clicking straight on the 'back' button. A lot of them are the same person more than once because dial up ISP's give you a different IP address everytime you go online. Despite that, it's impressive. My rating has dropped on the world stage, but predecimal.com was once the 421,000th (ish) most visited website in the world acording to www.alexa.com
  21. I imagine it's ok for metal detectorists as reference, but for collectors of modern milled, with just one or two remaining high priced crowns it's not much good for most of us.
  22. Absolutely, they're even trying to flog last years!: http://cgi6.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...&sort=3&rows=50
  23. Doesn't matter who owns them, it's the managers that make things work. I laughed out loud when I saw that Spink, est 1666 had an ebay id! Not that there is anything wrong with selling on ebay....But it really does nothing for their upperclass, leaders in the field of numismatics image. Despite the raz mataz, vast knowledge and the money behind them, they are mortal.
  24. That could be purely because football is more popular, and more people go to the games...So there is a bigger potential for trouble.
  25. They would probably never even consider it, because they all have noses that are very turned up at the end, and probably still think that a banner goes across the high street to advertise the village fate! I find all too frequently that long established institutions are pretty rubbish with web related things. Until recently the Spink website was poor. Like many large companies/institutions they are very behind the times. Have you seen that Spink actually have an ebay id and sell books through ebay? It looks about as professional as Del boys Reliant Robin. The fact that we get a similar volume of hits per month and that cross linking improves search engine rankings would probably escape them. In the past I have asked big companies about cross linking, and I usually get turned down politely in a 'What are you talking about' fashion, if I get a reply at all. The promlem is that coin experts know nothing about the internet, and that web experts know nothing about coins, that makes it difficult for those two people to really come together and make something that really works....I am perhaps one of the first to have a little understanding of both. So watch this space, when I'm a millionaire, I'll make bigger waves than Spink ever did in their 300+ year history When they ask me to link to them, I'll consider it!
