  1. It needs a clean sum heavy encrustation on there but well worth £3

  2. I know that I've shown you my big'n before. I got this from Peter Nichols when he was still making them himself, I had the stand made at the same time and I think it came to £400 all in. I later took out the two medal trays to fit more coin trays. At the time I had several non standard tray made to fit Crowns down to farthings plus four special trays to hold Maundy sets. Later one Peter also made me two extra sides which I fitted into a flight case to hold the collection when in the bank whilst I am away for more than a couple of days.

  3. He is saying that 8 items he sent to Merseyside went missing. I had a look at his other items yesterday for amusement and you might want to check out a coin he describes as "fabulous". His items are not currently showing on ebay. Might be he is revising the descriptions ...

  4. For some reason I cant see the pics Guyincog posted, but here are my two 1879 obverses. The difference in leaf veins, nostrils and re-engraved hair above the ear are obvious I think. I really wouldn't want to be definite from the photos, but it should be easy to tell with the coin in hand. The hair above the ear in Hussolo's photos does suggest to me it might have been re-engraved though? Jerry
