  3. A picture of the actual coin would be of interest. See how close to the nearest millennium he is, then we can worry about the century. 3/1 its a wrl Elizabeth I?

  5. I always was a troublemaker! or a perfectionist/nitpicker my wife would say!! My Executive bosses before I retired had a few other choice expletives to describe it! Thanks for all the help and lets hope it simplifies things for the future for others. kind regards John

  6. By the sounds of it, your Father had an interesting and varied collection. I'm sure that quite a few of us might be interested in seeing more of these coins. I'd certainly be interested in seeing pictures of anything pre-Victoria, particularly the William & Mary coins. By the way, another way of posting photos is to upload them to a photo sharing website (I use photobucket) and then post the link. As an example, here's my George IV Farthing from 1821:

  7. I believe Heritage about 14 or so years ago the intact set sold; not sure about the other one which I think had to have been broken up in the 1992-2000 era. The biggest challenge is putting the cats back in the bag once they've been running around in the yard: I managed with the 1939 and 1946 sets and almost got the 1938.....
