Just joined so thought I would be polite and say hello. I have been browsing a few coin forums but this one seems to be one of the more interesting and knowledgeable ones- and has some amusing posts too! I have been collecting coins since my feckless youth, sometimes more, sometimes less depending on disposable income. I will admit to be nostalgic for that youth when I would save in order to get a fivers worth of mixed silver from the local Midland Bank and sorting through every bit of available change looking for H and KN and Bun Head pennies. Happy days! To be honest though never found anything dramatic except a few good quality shillings from the 1930s and 40s which I still have. Taking part was the important thing anyway! My collecting has generally been a little haphazard, collecting whatever I liked and could afford. However more recently I have found myself becoming focused on collecting florins and that is where I think I will stay (for a while anyway). Thats me so hello to you.

It finished at over 400 with the juice, but that was when they went for 200 in a lightly bagmarked unc. Yes I do regret not going higher.

That will never happen ozjohn ,its that side that have kept c.g.s going i would assume.

Thanks for the replies. Personally I think them mint state Gothic florins are as sexy as hell. But then again so is Mila Kunis and I can't afford her either!

Welcome Potlings! Gothic florins can be very beautiful in high grade IMO
