HeavyT Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Hi, I'd be grateful for some advice regarding the item at the link below. Is it possible for one of our resident experts to tell from the pics if there are any obvious tell-tale signs that might suggest it's a fake? Also, if it is genuine, how much would you say it’s worth based on the condition shown in the pics:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VERY-RARE-GEORGE-I-1717-COPPER-DUMP-FARTHING-KEY-DATE-/281642407069?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=0Lped5sjJqP3dwPFHTywvrhrdho%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Quote
bagerap Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I haven't got Peck to hand, but it looks like reverse B. Maybe slightly overpriced. Quote
loose54 Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 The coin is genuine. One sold last month at LCA in a very very ugly state for £60 hammer (about £72 all in) and one similar to the OP coin sold in Dec 2014 for £110 hammer (probably around £135 all in). Quote
