crow1 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Can you anyone confirm the the die numbers on this 1861 Half PennyMany Thanks in advanceSteven Quote
Rob Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 There are no die numbers on halfpennies. A few 1862 halfpennies were struck with letters by the lighthouse, but numbers were only used on some 1863 pennies, silver (2/-, 1/- & 6d) from 1864 -1879 and gold from 1863 - 1874 sovereign and 1863-1871 half sov. Coinery Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I've never spent a great deal of time pawing over freeman's victoria halfpennies but, one thing's for sure, if he got rid of those useless images, he could've saved an awful lot of paper!Sacrilege I know! Apologies in advance to all that may offend! 1 Quote
