CartwheelTwopence Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 It came about when the Royal Mint were trialling the Elizabeth II reverse, as they used the George VI reverse, which was toothed. They produced a very small number before making the design fit as beaded for both obverse and reverse. Quote
